Lets get one started for the season.
I'd say right now a guy would need sled dogs to get a boat in and out right now….If anyone has some I could borrow that would be great, my weenie dog is on strike sleeping on the couch. Something about not enough gravy train? :dono
What union is it a member of?
Anyone fishing tomorrow I'm thinking about it....should I?
any y'all Stockton fishermen have a cedar ridge or state park report on the ramps, ice, extra beer?
Beagle, State Park and Old State Park ramps both had about an inch of snow on them last night when I looked. No one had launched yesterday and it is probably slick until you get a tire into the water and then real slick when you try to get your boat back out. Temp is 22 degrees at my house with a 7 mph south wind as I am looking out across the lake. It sure looks COLD.
Thanks Lead Head, was hoping the ramp would be clear, looks like later in the week a little sun and warmer
thanks for the report lh mike things will get better [ i hope]
Put in at Coffman (LOZ) ramp was good to go this morning. Only one there at daylight two other trucks in the parking lot when I left around noon. Fish are biting really good.
Windsor crossing open 2 boats this am duck hunters
I usually have extra beer beagle what else is needed?
I saw boat at crowes crossing today
Slayer, X2C and another guy launched somewhere today and loaded the boat with fish. Pictures looked like they broke ice all the way.
Has anyone been to Smithville to see which ramps if any are clear. Is there any ice on the lake?
Thanks in advance

Ramps at Smithville as of 12-18-13 crows creek is good to launch / camp branch is good to launch / little Platte is still iced in, it looked like a person could break your way out but not for sure..... / W bridge totally locked up in ice all directions wouldn't even do it if I knew there was a 14 incher with my name on it!!!!!! There is quite a bit of sheet ice floating in the main lake so be careful and good luck
Tebo point still iced in but not very thick
Also iced in below damn
Its suppose to be in the upper 40's this weekend, are the ramps near Truman Dam frozen in?
I can't imagine that anything is not frozen solid, I'm hoping to get out, the long range forecast is calling for some warmer/sunny days.
This is the Bucksaw report from Jan 6
"Conditions at the lake are rough. With the cold and snowy weather the lake is iced over and ramps are inaccessible. There is little open water near the Dam. We hope to have a good report after the thaw."
I was wanting to get out this weekend but it don't sound good.
Thanks for the report GW.

Man that sucks!!!!!!!!!!! Hey I think I see Beagles tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:biggrin
Here is a pic from today that Dillon took and had on Facebook. Beagle looks like your tree will see water tomorrow. Can't get to it but won't be long if the wind keeps blowing and sun shining like it has the last two days.
