Lets see what opening day brought here in Kansas
All my land got leased up/sold the last 4 years so sticking to duck hunting until someone takes pity on me…
I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me, I haven't hunted in 3 seasons, I just fish now.
I shot this one Wed evening. He is one of the biggest bodied deer I have ever shot. He weighed 255 lbs on my scale. My buddy standing beside the deer is 6ft 3in. Hope to go out and fill my game tag tonight with a nice fat doe and then I will be all set for making a whole lot of jerky, summer sausage and deer sticks.

Great job! That's a nice buck, congratulations!
I did not have to hunt for my deer, he came to me. Meet him just South of Osage City South end of the Golf course. He killed himself on the front end of my 1992 toy truck. So got a deer but 600 dollars in parts to fix damage. hood fender grill bumper grill insert, hoping radiator is all right so far no leaks but is bowed in a little.
That no good! It sounds like you are ok and the truck was able to be repaired so that is good. It seems too often people try to avoid the deer and end up either killing or really hurting themselves and do more damage to the vehicle than if they would have just hit the deer.
Were you able to get a salvage tag for the deer?

Great time with my best fishing and hunting partner. She wanted to shoot so bad; probably a year or 2 away, but she did great. Tennessee muzzleloader opening morning, for the freezer. Brad
Way to go Brad! Nothing better than sharing hunting and fishing with your kids.
Absolutely awesome! Every moment we can spend in the field with them is memories made that will last a lifetime!
My boy in my picture above is 6 and really wants to shoot a deer himself as well but he is still another year or two away. He will receive his first firearm for his birthday in March. He has been shooting his Daisy BB gun for 2 years and once in a while I will help him shoot one of my 22's.
We are lucky to have kids that are interested in the outdoors! Thanks for sharing!
Cousin shot a 170"+ buck with his bow a few nights ago.
