looking for their website? or a place to buy some gray and black electric knives .
Not sure what happened to them. I used to have their website but couldn't find it when I recently looked for it. Hopefully someone will know where it is.
I got ripped off by one of their retailers. I have not had very good luck with one of their knives. I do like the Shark Blades.
Dan
I got mine from amazon. I got two now. They get hot but they're the best knives I've used.
I found their website with Google.
I found plenty of places that sell them, but they were all out of stock, might not make em anymore
They have a sale on the blk/grey ele. knives ending dec. 2nd,just seen it.I dont know how to post the website if you cant find american angler website you might try Douglas Quikut thats who makes them. The knives are 29.99 while supplies last they are probably discontinuing them for their new ones that are 119.99.
Thanks Camo Here is the link
Electric Fillet Knives
I like the american angler knives I only burn up 1 a year usually, I could never get a year out of the other brands, and I've used them all over the years. The new ones should be better at that price.
I am a general contractor and have been for 34 years. Even the tools I use the hardest last me a few years. Burning a tool up every year, even if it is used every day is unacceptable to me.
Dan
true but once a year is better than every several months.I have one that I just use on crappie and it has lasted but the one I use on whitebass and catfish will only last a year or so.I've even started using the saltwater series white handle knives sometimes they work well, just depends on if the clients are in a hurry to leave or not.lol
That is like saying you can buy a tool at K-Mart or Walmart, one will last a year and the other will last 7 or 8 months. To me unacceptable is just unacceptable either way. Hopefully they have listened to the masses and made a knife that is Quality and is worth the price. I wonder if it is US made? or made in China like so many things are today.
I have went through some tools in 33 years and I have found out that if you are gonna use a tool then you better buy a good one. I am sure there are more than one brand of Heavy Duty tools that will last and get the job done. I have pretty much settled on Milwaukee Tools.
I wish they made an Electric Fillet knife I would have one!
Dan
Probably the only thing american in it is the name. You would hope the one's over 100 bucks would last
I can tell you from running a business for 30 plus years, the Average US consumer shops one thing. Price!! Most could care less about Quality, where it was made, etc. This is a Huge reason why our economy is in the shape it is in.
Most people are content paying $20 for a piece of junk that lasts them one season, and don't demand more. Even when offered a Quality option at 3 times the price that would lets say last 5 times as long. They will still buy the Junk! My parents and Grand parents would never have accepted that.
My Grand Dad died at 93 and still owned hand tools that were in great condition with much better quality than you can buy any where today.
Dan
Amen, But there is no getting away from it. You can buy a stock Harley or Mack Truck part from a dealer that says either Made in Mexico or Taiwan. Not all of them but some.
I Agree! but the American consumer has driven the market that direction. If you don't supply the consumer what they want at the price they are happy with. Many will go online find the part or whatever at a price they are satisfied with and quality is low on their list of considerations.
I had an older gentleman tell me one time that if "You want Good Clean Oats you will have to pay a fair price, but!.....If you are satisfied with Oats after they have been through the Horse there are a Lot of Bargains"

I think it will just take a fine tooth blade is all to do a good job:Rofl
I got an American angler model 31000 that I have had for 20+ years and is still going strong. I have literally cleaned thousands upon thousands of fish and has never failed me yet. I also use it on those thick bones of the white bass and catfish. Hope it last another 20 years.
20 years ago they must have made a quality knife.
Dan
Best darn fathers day present I ever have gotten.
Be glad they didn't get it for you 18 years later. I clean maybe a limit of Crappie 2 to 3 times a month at the most and I am not sure I am going to be able to limp my American (Chinese LOL) Angler knife through a year.
