Some nice wool
Went to a craft show with my wife today and a lady who makes sheepskin slippers had bags of clean wool on the tanned hide and got this for $2!! This is gonna make some nice wool and satin jigs

Nice grab buddy! Should make some fine stuff! Congrats!
-
A man could do some serious dubbing with some of that. Good find.
-
hey Doug! how ya been doing? thats a great score on that wool.
-
I've never seen anything done with any wool. Do you have any pictures?? My jigs are still VERY elementary.
-
I'll post some up tonight when I get home. Learned about tying them on another site - they're wool with satin fibers tied over top and they do work.
-
-
What kind of action do they have in the water?? Is it similar to marabou? Those are really sharp!! Thanks for sharing!
-
Those are nice Doug, good work.
-
I wouldn't say exactly like maribou but the satin fibers shimmer well. The first 8 colors of satin I bought only cost me about $4, and a little goes a long way.

Those look awesome. That motivates me to start tying. Been contiplating for a while. Seen too much of replicas of store bought lures. Unmotivational on the replicas due to you can buy. A bag of them for what a couple would cost to tie.
