Just a short report from the Rocky River. The crappie are still in deep water. Fished minnows two turns up off the bottom and the bite is very light so you have to watch the lines and rod tips. Water temp is hanging at 52 to 54. Culled out a limit of 20, fish not as big as last week but still some good solid crappie.

Great report! Where in the world is Rocky River at anyway? I've never heard of it to my knowledge. Looks like a crappie hot spot right now!

Butch, I'm using 1/4 oz....if the wind is blowing bad, you can go up to 1/2 oz.
Same as burdawg and have used 1oz a few weeks ago because of the wind. Butch fishing this deep you will get a lot of lines twisted together when the fish tries to run so you have to reel em in as quick as you can.

No kidding William! Seems the wind makes it as hard as it can. Had to buy a replacement for my trolling battery, should have just went and bought fish :dono:yikesQuote:
