I kept 20 today pulling cranks, had to quit when my batteries died. I even kept a few dinks to fry up for supper. Feesherman stopped by to visit this evening but he didn't have time to wait on supper.

Good seeing you again Scott
Now that's how my dad loved to cook em, them look fine, I know you are gonna eat them tails.
Good seeing you too Chris. Thanks for the goodies.
I ate three of the fish Sammy, and the tails. My Dad always wanted them whole too. I see why, they're fine.
Yep, bet they were as good as they look, and they sho look mighty fine..
I like that man
Love to eat em that way, just easier to fillet. Nuttin like frying em whole.
I would have waited! That is my favorite way to eat them.
They are excellent whole. I've started keeping a couple each Thursday and taking to Holiday Lodge to fix whole for my dinner. You can't beat $6.95 with all the fixings.
The 3 I ate last night were real good. I imagine the other 3 will be good for lunch too. I won't be throwing so many Okatibbee dinks back from now on.
I'll start saving and freezing some whole dinks for Spring Camp week. We'll have a "dink fry" one night at the camper.
That sounds good, maybe Ms Tammy will fix us some desert!!!!! May just have to have a desert supper one night!!:Rofl
Hey, call it a Dink and Desert nite.
Please let me no what nite, it ain't that far from here to there...
Martha White wud slide a mile on a barbwire fence to get her name on Ms Tammy's deserts,
and Ralph and Kacoo's ain't got nuttin on Scott's fish either...
Delish! and that outer skin adds a delicate taste. Love me some chips!
Yep....You need to cook whole fish when we have the Okatibbee Geezer Rodeo
The dinks were on fire yesterday at Okatibee. Dad and my uncle caught 60 and headed to the house. He's gonna fry them for our family during Thanksgiving week. N
That looks good! Is there a thread on cooking the whole crappie? Do you just scale them and gut them and then fry like you would fillets?
Thanks "G". Cant wait to give it a try! :cheers2
That looks dang good! Never had fish that way, gotta give it a try!
