todays trip
well........
I haven't posted anything in a while but still reading a lot on here. I went with a few guys from church up to clay county to fish a bit off the black river oxbows. well its creeping up, muddy. It was cold with NE wind and couldn't catch a fish with dynamite. ( not that I have done that before)
But I did see a beautiful sunrise and got to spend some time with some good guys and tootle around in my boat. No fish but still a good day.

Awesome! Thanks for the report.

Some people fish their whole life's and never figure out that it's not the fish they are after!!!!
Good job!
-
yeah midsouth that's for sure. we do fish often but we don't catch a lot of fish. my buddy made the statement that " we aint gonna know what to do if we get into a mess of fish"........ so maybe one day we'll go and catch a bunch of fish too. either way, they're good times

I have been putting in at Oak Donnick. With duck season starting this weekend I might stay off for a few weeks. There is a new guy on the site that goes by grzglider. He has been helping me with locations to fish. I have been catching 5-10 every trip. That was me in Terra the other day.I have mainly been marking the channel and crappie condos. Real important in that shallow water.

thanks!! I have been to oak donnick long time ago. I tried catfishing underneath the train trestle there to the south of the ramp. never thought about crappie fishing in there........
