Went to Larto yesterday and ended up with twenty. The boats and fish were in the bayou between Youngbloods and Fools Bayou. These fish are on a deep pattern a full month earlier than last year. Don't know whats up with that. :dono Talked to two other boats that had their limit by 12-1:00. They were fishing shiners; of course. I guess I'll learn one day. :banghead

Mermentau, Larto Cabins and Uncle Buds are two different places, but they are not far apart and have similar cabins. If I remember right Uncle Buds doesn't have the internet at the cabin office but rather the site was operated in Lafayette where they pass the info by telephone to the cabins. It's better to hook up direct to the cabin office ((318) 339-7530 ) to get up to date info and make sure they have your info correct. According to reports I heard about both places when I was there last, the neighbor hood is quieter at Uncle Buds, no dogs or roosters.

Mermentau, there is also a place called Woodsons Landing on the west end of Saline lake. They have a campground and rent some rooms. Would be more kayak friendly for you. I will try to find more info for you. Danny
