we started at Longwood an had some nice keepers from the creek. most were 10-12 ft deep over brush in 15-25fow. both castin an vertical jiggin was workin. didn't do as well on the main lake piles as we had been. there should be more an more bigger fish showin up in the creeks since the water has cooled. hopefully there will be a 3 pounder on one of them creek piles in a couple wks!!! I know 3 or 2 places where one has been caught an released!!!

Tuesday was a repeat of Sat, but more keepers and better average size. stayed in the creeks all day an caught fish off all the places we tried except one. left them bitin on several places, I'm lookin forward to the Bash!
well, if its gonna make ya that mad, I won't tell ya about the 14 1/2 incher we got yesterday within sight of the Longwood ramp...

Hey Doc. How often do you see birds working over some feeding stripers? Wondering how the striper population is doing at Buggs. We used to have some fun with them. I keep a large white bucktail tied on a casting rod in the box, but it has been a long time since I have put it to use. Do you see much striper activity?
Yes, they have been surfacin from the bridge up to Bluestone last couple wks. A lot more keepers are bein caught this yr than in the past(25 inches now). I'll show ya a brand new secret lure that out fishes bucktails for stripers Sat. We've been catchin a lot of small stripers off the brush piles this fall(10 inchers). We've also hooked several huge catfish off the brush this fall, but have not been lucky enuff to land one so far.
