I got some .035 stainless steel wire and made some double trolling rigs to keep my jigs or minners separated. They work.

That looks familiar, good job!
I was using the wally Marshall rig (like yours) along side some Capps and Colman rigs and one I made. I caught more fish on the wally Marshall rig. I like the way it keeps it separated.
I really like those, gotta try em soon.
Is that really only .035? Seems like it would bend fairly easy
Cool!! Love a double!!
I'm got come made of nylon that are pretty kewl. They kept getting tangled up though
Looking at yours got my tiny light bulb in my tiny brain burning. Lol. I made leaders with different size egg sinkers to use jigs or hooks and keep them on noodles. Something to do while watching football. Lol

Ok ok--make me some --send me a bill
Looks good Scott, I had a spool of .40, haven't seen it in years.
walleye bottom bounchers on ebay with or without weights on them, I think these would work just have to make loops on the ends, on some only one wire needs bent to loop
Bring me about 6 foot or more of that .041 to Jimmy's tuesday night.
Spinner bait forms?????
Love those orange color jigs, my store bought wally marshall rigs keeps getting tangled with large minnows.
That's what I was trying to prevent. If the top leg of your wire rig is 6 1/2 inches long and the line on the end of it is only 6 inches long, you don't tangle. The bottom line with the egg sinker is 12 inches long. The orange jigs you mentioned are just dressed up minner hooks. I tie them like a jig but no lead head.

Years ago we used to buy those like that......they called them teasers
i just made this took a bottom bouncer walleye rig and bent a circle on the end., this one is 2 ounce but you can get light ones. could add a snap swivel on the bottom one to make quick change. I havent tried it but can see why it wouldnt work.Attachment 142870
Add a snap swivel, take a pic, post so we can see what it looks like.
naw handi I turned the top snap around to match the bottom one. There is that better canebreaker
Thanks for the reply, I now know how to modify my store bought ones.
Ok, you used a split ring.
Do you have a mold for it? I looked at Do-it and couldn't find one.
no split ring just a eagle claw 2 to a package walleye bottom bouncer put a loop on the end with a snap swivel for the picture. If I was making my own I would just put a swivel on it and then on my drops I tie a loop in in it and stick the loop through it and then thread my line back through it because I don't plan on taking it off once I put it on. Makes it easier than tying on in the boat.
That will work.
If you had a mold you could cast up some with every size weight that you could. Carry about a dozen of each on the boat to see which catches fish the best.
With Scott's rig you carry a few forms, a few drops for the top and a few drops for the bottom ready made. And a few extra sinkers.
All of my drops have a loop on the end for easy change out.
All this sophistication gives me a hade ake , y'all laughed at my jewelry on my make shift rigs to push with power trolling the other day and hurt my feelins.
Went back to the drawing board and come up with sumpin that didn't work at all, just a mess, went back to what works.
I just go and buy the wally ones and get 2 for about 3 0r 4 dollars in 1/2 3/4 ounce ready to go and keep some spare hooks to go on them. I don't thnk I have lost one yet, bent a few that wont work anymore. Its a lot easier than making them yourself. and before anyone else says it you cant hide money.
Now John, I didn't laugh at your jewelry on my make shift rig. It just looked different. If it works, use it.
No different than using a plain hook, adding lead to the head, adding paint, adding colored feathers or hair and glitter.
I just have to be doing something instead of having the tv on, or while watching.
Hey john I missed what works for ya. Send me a pix
