Super Slabfest 2, 11/9/2013

Saturday finally got here and we had a fantastic Slabfest. This was the largest crowd we have had here at a Talquin event.This is way the morning started out:

It was a little bit tough for some, but some good fish were still caught. Here is Airpressure/Rawhide with their Big Fish:

The wind was a deciding factor in several folks leaving after we ate.....Well, you left too early!! The wind laid down and made for a great afternoon of fishing. If you didn't catch any fish, it was because you wasn't fishing!! We went out and started fishing around 3:00 and there was only 2 other boats out there. Within an hour, there was over 20 boats fishing the same area we were at and everyone was catching fish. You can see in the picture that it was a beautiful afternoon...We didn't have time to take many pictures, but here are a few:

Fantastic time. Well organized and executed. A big thanks to everyone, from those who organized, those who cooked, and those who attended. You are all the greatest group of people that it is my pleasure to know. :ThumbsUp

Doug nelms aka "big fish heads" came down with me...brought the wife...now I think they're coming back in a month!!!! Love it love it love it! Thanks for all you guys do! It sure was good to see you and Tom Jr. again. It is always enjoyable to be around the 2 of you. I am looking forward to next year also....I finally made it home today after being gone for 11 days and it was nice to get home, but I am sure going to miss not waking up at the lake!!!
