I HATE Lake X!!!

OK for those of us "not in the click" this entire Lake X thing is bogus! I assume Lake X is refering to whichever lake you happen to be catching fish on and dont want to see the floatilla of boats trying to catch the fish you are currently fishing for. We all know that you can go fishing ANYWHERE that has a decent population of crappie and they are ALWAYS biting "if YOU figure them out" with that said, can everyone PLEASE go back to just lying about where you are fishing so that us NOT in the click have a place to focus our efforts? JEASH!!

:Rofl Darned if you do, darned if you don't!! My intentions were never to claim that I have found some top secret honey hole. Only to maintain the lack of pressure on the ones that are already popular. I was asked to do this by someone that I respect, otherwise I would have put it out there a while ago. If you notice, it started out with one or two people and progressed into several. That's because I have answered pms from anyone who has inquired. I have even offered to take them there, and have taken several. After everybody figured it out, it turned into a joke. Not hard to figure out where Craig D. Campbell Lake "X" is. The purpose was to keep the lurkers from piling up in those small areas, not to form a clique or to claim some type of superior fishing skills, of which I have none!!

I'm ready to fish X, N , H and the big D . I bet most know where they are too!

Oh heck...I thought Lake X was an impoundment at Area 51 where the government was spawning super slabs in order to release on the unknowing dink populations in all the other lakes. Glad I know its here in the Natural State...now I can hide out on the banks and spy on the super secret super slab club and see how they do it!!

Now if I can just find that pesky Loch Ness Monster....I bet thats a super slab crappie in Lake Z!! I'm finally figuring it all out!

Whoa there cowboy. I thought every fisherman in Arkansas knew where lake X is this time of year. Now you got to figure out where on Conway the flotilla is before you can join the club.

I thought this site was to promote crappie fishing not to hide all the spots where the crappie are biting , if I catch fish ill let any one know where and what I catch them on . I thought the lakes were for everyone not just the lucky few who could go anytime they want , the lakes and the fish in them are for all to enjoy not just a few elite people , just my two cents worth , :fish

I can tellyou that there are several Lake X's in the state, I have been to 3 or 4 of them, and I still can't load the boat. I can even follow Nimrod and ABH around and not catch fish. I even went with ABH in his boat about a month ago, and everybody in the boat, but me was pulling them in left and right... so its not about where you are, or anything like that. You gotta hold your mouth right or they wont bite.

Those that are catching fish are spending lots of time on the water and figuring out the fish for themselves............ that's kind of what fishing is about

The man who started the lake X "JOKE" will do everything but hold the pole for ya and has given more info on where to catch fish and how then anyone. There is no secret to where X is only that if you can find a spot where the crowds aren't and the fish are. I challenge anyone to fish the hot spots right now on X and battle the crowds and then find fish where the crowds aren't and see how forth coming you are with your spot. IT WAS A JOKE!!!!!!! and still is. :cheers2

You are very right...even though I did respond...more joking around than anything though. :biggrin I've always got a kick out of places people try to keep secret and the lengths they go. This is not the case here...I just see jealousy stealing anothers joy. Heck I get alot of joy seeing the fish posted those guys pull in.

Now just like CMJ said...he was doing it out of respect of someone else...I have done that on many occasions, but have no problem spreading the wealth of free information that does not step on anothers toes. Thats one reason the Arkansas forum is one of the top viewed state forums...because we do share so much information...AND respect for one another.

Well it never fails. Every single time I decide to start posting reports again after one of these tirades, I am quickly reminded why I stopped the last time. It is ridiculous to get mad at somebody for not posting the exact location of their recent catch. Everyone involved In the Lake X deal has done that in the past and regretted it. I have posted location, depth, Color, speed, even posted google pics with the spots pinned. And guess what? People cried about that too. I don't get it. :dono I have a limit in my livewell right now. When I get home, I will post pics, as well as a full report on depth and color. Heck, ill even post gps coordinates. And guess what? Most of the people that use them ain't gonna catch jack!! Nope....they'll just try to catch them out of my livewell the next time they see me sitting on that spot. Not to worry though, it will be the last fishing report that I post.

That's ok CMJ....I secretly planted a gps transmitter in your boat 3 weeks ago...and a video cam that shoots thru your hull....I plan on providing all of the information from your last weeks fishing trips on Channel 4 tomorrow night a 6 pm. It will be one of those investigative type reports where they asked have you seen this criminal type element on your lake and if so please report him to the local law enforcement personnel......he is armed and dangerous.......His shirt will have a picture of a crappie on the front and lettering on the back that says.....Crappie Club you can't join!

Guys, I started this thread as a " tongue in cheek" I REALLY APPRECIATE EVERYONE ON THIS SITE! I did in no way try to start anything. As I posted originally The fish are ALWAYS biting if YOU figure them out. Ive had MANY times that Ive told folks exactly where to go and how to fish it but they fail to make the proper adjustments for THAT day and they catch nothing. I hope everyone continues to help each other and sorry if this post ruffled any feathers.

Just my 2 cents....... I know Cj and call him a very good friend. I also know he help anyone that ask him. But I know he and other put there time in on the water and come up with fish most of every time out. Who fault is that if I go out and not catch fish with out putting in my homework. I don't think fish 1 day every week or so is doing my homework. Now I don't think this site is doing my homework, but it dose help in understanding what going on. I never had a teacher to teach me about fishing. My dad fish but I never fish with him after I became a teenager now ,he gone and I don't have anyone other than the ones that has spent some time with me in the last 2 years. I say thank you to those who have and will to come. I think this site is about showing pictures,and give us some understanding on how they caught them. But I'm not to sure it about pin spotting the tree to fish.
Now i'm sure most going to ask :dono what you say again. But some time my mine and typing don't match up:biggrin I live with it and work with it.

I apologize if I have started this hater business. I admit I have rode the fish catchers hard and may have crossed the line. I love the reports and pictures and the forum would be ruined without them. For the most part, if a fish picture is posted up, the author already knows it is a good fish. After several years of hanging around here, I just got tired of posting "good fish" since the OPs already know they are good fish. Instead, my salute to them is a little trash talk and a yes, "I'm envious", post. Only one time since I have been a member of this forum have I asked where a specific lake X was and BillyE was kind enough to supply me with an answer. I never fished that hole, but out of respect for Billy, I've never revealed that information to anyone even to a close friend who asked me specifically about that spot. In another situation there was a bit of information trade and a person revealed a lake to me that held some big fish. I was able to fish this lake for about an hour and caught 8 fish 6 being above 1.5 lbs and the biggest being my first 2lber ever. I did not even clean these fish in public to avoid questions and out of respect to the people on this board who fish that particular lake X, I will not reveal its name, even though I may never fish it again. To the people who complained about lake X info...I could reveal the location of lake X cause my in-laws live on the lake, but I won't, because it is the home lake of someone else and I don't fish there on a regular basis so I don't feel I have the right to do this. The fish catchers on this forum have put out more than enough information for you to read between the lines and go catch some fish. If you don't like the amount of information you are getting, you need to go figure out a pattern on your own lake, the fish there will eat everyday just like the fish on every other lake, and then ask the great fish catchers on this board to come and fish it with you. You may not be able to do this tomorrow, but one of these days your lake will have the hot bite when other lakes are slower and you can invite todays lake X fishermen to go with you. I am positive they will reciprocate when the bite is the other way around. If you don't like this idea, there are several member guides who will show you the ropes of catching fish at a bargain price. Either way, you gotta pay to play either in cash, or in time spent on the water spent. Back when I was a child, my dad would take me to a spot, cast the line, and hand the rod to me so I could reel in a fish. There is not one crappie catcher on this forum who would not do the same for you, if you needed it, but I'm guessing that the most of those that are complaining about Lake X are adults and well capable to do this all by themselves. I encourage all to use this forum as a learning tool and to make friends. There are thousands of fish producing tips and techniques that are hidden in the pages of Crappie.com and that is all a person needs. A search function has been supplied to help you find these. So my word to the real haters is, get over your sense of crappie entitlement do a little research and go fishing. If you can't outsmart a fish with the brain the size of a thimble, you probably shouldn't be playing with hooks anyway.

Again, I apologize for all this "hater" business. Even though I have met several of these lake X fishermen and I think they know me well enough to know that no offense was intended, but I felt I need to publicly say it because there are many that read who do not know me.

Hey, forget lake X! We got a river lake down South here we call Triple XXX ! ! ! ! It's so hot we have to carry an extra ice chest full of block ice just to keep the livewell from boiling over.... If you don't catch three limits in a day on that lake You ain't fishin' Jack!! LOL!!! Oh yea, then there's a couple of others that go by the names Double XX #1 and Double XX #2, which are almost as good...... These "X" lakes have been around forever and keep poppin' up all over from time to time.

I had to quit fishing triple xxx cause I could not afford to buy all that ice.!!!!!! So I fish lake OXB W now. ......

I'm going to lake M in the morning you can meet me at Y landing and I'll prove that I am not a threat to the crappie heard in lake M.

I don't care if anyone ever names the lake, but I sure love seein' pics o' those big fish I never catch. Fish on!

You Guys are killing me. I have met a lot of good folk on here. I have take quite a few people and helped them get started as i was done once. Most of the time i have been reciprocated except once lol. That is okay, he is one of the regulars that post. I have never asked for a return trip. With that said, you are darned if you post fish as danged if you dont. In personally post not to boast or brag but for the comrade that goes along with everyone. Take the information that is been given and fish and have fun!!!

Heck If yall quit posting pics of all those crappie yall are catching I'll forget what one looks like. I've been fishing about 8 times since I fished with ABH and have caught maybe 8 crappie here in Beaver. I think he sold me some bad rods lol. I watched another c.com'r catch a limit within eye sight of me and I caught 2 on Beaver a few weeks ago. What keeps me going back is knowing that eventually I'll put together a day and maybe get to post some pics. I've not been lurking on here just haven't anything to post.
