A little worried about fish.
I had volunteered months ago to supply crappie for a Church cookout coming up this weekend. Due to some recent posts about how few fish I usually catch, which has been absolutely true since the last 2 trips Carol and I have only kept 5 fish and ate all those, I have been worried about having enough fish. March 30th of this year, I emptied the freezer and cooked 38lbs of fillets for the "Church in a day" crew that constructed our Church, so I knew that all we had in the freezer had to be caught since that date. I was hoping for a miracle since it seemed to me that productive fishing trips have been few and far between. I did know that Jesus had experience with fish shortages since He once took 2 fish and 5 loaves and fed thousands (John 11), plus, I also knew that Jesus likes fishermen and sometimes gives them fishing tips like which side of the boat to fish on. Also, he likes fish cookouts since he at least one time cooked fish for his disciples on the shores of the sea (both in John 21). Anyway, we started removing bags of fish from our freezer and placing them into 2 large plastic bags. When we finished, we had a little over 35 lbs in one bag and a little over 25 in the other. I figure we should have about 45lbs less the water weight which should feed over a hundred people. I will be able to rest a bit easier after tonights tally. Thank you Jesus for some great days fishing, and if you did add your catch to ours, I thank you for that too.
