That's some of the prettiest fish I've ever seen. Good job.
Awesome catch. Love them black crappie
I have heartd that lake can be tough but has some slabs. Good catch.

Nice fish, and thanks for the post and the pics. :highfive
Good job basscat. Looks like you had a good day on the water. Congrats.
Great catch!
Those are some beutiful fish!! Would like to have a 2.5 - 3.0 lb one of those for the wall!! Congrats
They catch 3 lb + on a regular basis !!! Info on cc is keep pretty quite! !!!! Limit is 15 which most time is hard to come by. I live about 30 minutes for the boat ramp been fishing there ever since it was built. The best time is nov - feb if your looking for a 3+ fish !! But don't expect to catch a box full of fish !!!!!!!
Cane Creek blacks are always pretty fish.
Meatgetter,
I have to be in star city 4 or 5 times a year for my girl friend's family obligations...so if I get back down there before valentines day....what is that special jig you sell guaranteed to find me that 3lb wall hanger?????
Thanks
Basscat1
Must agree...those are some beautiful fish!
Yeah they are!!! There just isn't a prettier fish than a black crappie. The colors are just so deep.
Great catch!!
Gr8 Catch BassCat. Pretty Blacks in that lake not to mention all the 3lbers it gives up.
Nice catch, the creek is full of two things,,, hogs and stumps.......
Nice!
Nice job guys!
That 19 foot basscat boat sure does groan and moan moving thru them stumps.......working on an older 18 ft flat bottom.....will be back when I get it rigged out!!
Are Burnt Cane and Cane Creek different places? Seems like I've been told they are both near Star City.
I looked up burnt cane on agfc.com to be sure, but their map shows it in Illinois when you do a search for it.
Sounds like your 22 was above average and the size was better than average also, good catch!
