Can't beat that. Work is already done.
I can never get that lucky! I'd have to cut 5 trailer loads. Looks good!
those pea vines are the best to brush a blind with. if you can get them growing round the blind like he has you got it made. he'll still need to pull some to "brush up" later.
St. Francis?? Vines and the color of the water makes me think that.
We went over on the river once and got a bunch of those vines and took them to Big Lake. Those vines are great to stuff in a window for covering "moon pies".
The only problem I found with those vines, about every third bunch of them had a cotton mouth in them.. Learned quick to run the snake out and then grab the vines.
That'd be a nice find.
They also carried willows to put on the boat hide. A snake fell off a limb into the boat load of brush and they had to pull up on the bank and empty the boat out so there wouldn't be any surprises in the remainder of the boat ride. There are more snakes around than what there were a few years ago. I heard they taste like chicken if you can draw a snake hunting tag.
I always pulled a couple of boat loads extra while they were green and laid them back for later in the season as the blind vines wore down. better cover than willows.
arkcrappie you probably knew gene and gene and bubba since you hunted big lake. they came up and hunted with us a lot. the dr's son gene is a certified nut. without saying his last name. got one heck of a story he and bubba pulled on a couple of new hunters gene brought down from ill. something only they could think of.
Oldduckhunter, I am familiar with Gene. I can only imagine.
