nice , i got out last friday night , south end of cdga lake , got 6 , i think water needs to cool just a little more
Slabbernuts - How ya been??? I've never had the chance to fish the south end. I need to make a trip down there.
Any good spots to launch a kayak? Folks at work say,... Just south of the boat launch in Woodville is a good spot to start.
Hey guys I moved to Penn yan last year and I am looking for some good crappie spots around here
I have caught them in the spring right in penn yan by the boat launch. but most of my fishing is in Seneca river and bays off lake Ontario.
Yeah I fish sodus and fair haven for a long time and mays point but just trying to get to know the area around here. I fished the boat launch but didn't catch any I'll give it a try again this year.
Hey guys some how I missed these post , yes there is a good spot to launch a kayak at south end of cdga lake , at the Woodville launch , I believe there is a set up just for canoes and kyaks, I live I penn yan also , we will have to meet up in the spring , the penn yan outlet can be great depending on what they are doing with the locks , branchport and waneta/Lamoka lake at night is real good
I have allways wanted to fish Waneta n' Lamoka. There was a plan in the works to fish Branchport by kayak last spring but my buddy got a job as a forest fighter in Cali. befor he graduated FLCC. So that got put on the back burner. lol - I simply need more friends that enjoy fishing as much as I do. Oh well that's life when you sell car parts for a living. You end up in the shop more than on the water.
The fellas up around Black Lake and the Seneca River have been trying to get together for years now with no luck. The timing is allways off.
Slabernuts sounds like a great plan I love crappie fishing and would enjoy having someone who enjoys fishing around here
Trueseal315 - I live just North of you guys in Geneva. It would be nice to get a few of us together. I know three other members in the area that would be interested.
Sound like a plan! I own a sealcoating business so I am available early spring and pretty much late night fishing towatd summer.
Nyhellbender do you ever fish with Dave tanner out at mays point I know he fishes there a lot and when he's not there fishing he either at sodus or fairhaven with me.
Never met the fellow. It would be nice to meet some Crappie.com friends.
Most of my friends don't fish as much as I do. They think I have fishing on the brain.
We all have the fishing on the brain that's why were at crappie.com great place to meet people who share common interest and the passion for fishing!
Amen Brother :highfive - With these long NY winters, I'd go completely crazy without Crappie.com and all the great friends I have made here.
Lol I am still going crazy with this winter can't wait for the ice to break up and the slabs start moving in big schools!
I can't wait to get the kayaks back in the water. I've got a few new tricks up my sleave. New Offshore Tackle Planer Boards, a couple of new fishing poles and a bunch of new tackle. A friend of mine is working on an order of 1/32 #2 jig heads and 1/8 #2 crappie spins. Should be done soon. Can't wait this spring it is Game On!
Nice !!
