Save some. For tomorrow. Im on the way. Be there about.midnight
We are n 48, come by an we'll have some for u.
I don't know what to call the "fatties". I mixed 1 lb of hot pork sausage with 1lb of shredded cheddar cheese. Then added 1 1/2 cups of Bisquik. I mixed that up good and made 2 rolls, wrapped them in bacon and smoked them. Good
I'm homesick already:)
the yankees are here
Those look strangely similar to some yankee's camp fare in the past. :biggrin
Great lookin place

Yall crankin???? Looks like yall are having fun!!!!
The place is full of slimers, the locals are crazy about them.
Wait till you get hold of one of them flatheads, they's some good ens over their.
That's a good idea about using split pool noodles on those rod holders for holding crank baits.
If any of you folks are looking for a place for dinner in the area, I would suggest the Catfish Farm on hwy 57 in Counce Tn.
Pickwick Catfish Farm - Smoked Fish They have a spicy smoked catfish that will change your opinion on those slimers. For those who just can't eat whisker fish, they have a Cajun shrimp boil that's really good too. It looks like a dive, but if I were eating out tonight, it would be my first choice.
Looks like a neat place, I will try it, cause I will eat slimers. I just don't try and catch them that often. The best restaurant I've ever visited in the area is The Broken Spoke in Counce. Great food, anything from burgers to steaks and seafood, and they have entertainment on the weekend. The same couple have been singing and playing there for many years.
This is a beautiful place

You got that rite, fog looks tuff
SOOOO ain;t right that we can't come up. GRRRRRR
The Broken Spoke has been here for as long as I can remember. My Dad's band used to play there in the 70's and 80's. The atmosphere is a lot better at the Spoke, as is the menu selection, but I just can't get past those smoked catfish from the Catfish Farm. To be honest, I've never eaten anything off the menu at the catfish farm other than the smoked catfish and the boiled shrimp (also spicy), so I can't vouch for the rest of the food, hell I couldn't even tell you what else they have.
