I've got a set of Capps and Coleman 16' poles, but just bought a new set of the 16' BGJP's. I can't wait to try them side by side, but I figured some of you guys had been there, done that already.
Post your results if you did the research. Curiosity is killin me!! I'm looking for the Pros and Cons of each pole.
I asked Ronnie Capps which did he like the best and he likes the BGJPs the best. I have the C and Cs and I like them the best. Its just a matter of preferance everybody is different
the BGJP will be more like your Ozarks.
C and C I like the best same as G
The C & Cs are more flexable. They are tough though. I've caught several 8-10 pound blue cats on them over at Eagle Lake and they held up real good
Hard to go wrong with either set. Bill, I thought you were an Ozark man, what changed your mind?
Aw...he'll just hang on to those 27 ozarks and get 40-11 C&Cs and a couple of dozen B&Ms. Heard it said time and again..."You just can't hide money".

I do not own any of these rods I use the Wally Marshall Tightline Special but I have used these and they are very nice Spider Rigging rods they are made of kevlar and are priced good! The 14' are 39.95 I bought 4 as donations for door prizes to the KY Lake Shindig Last week! Wiskers from the KY board uses these rods and I fished with him in the spring and last week these are nice rods!
I got one of those--was keeping it as a spare--don't need it now--so I giving it to a buddy

I caught a nice Hybrid with my C and C's at the Rez. I just wonder why Ronnie and Steve, Warren Cotton, Driscoll, Harrison, and Brad Taylor, just mention a few of the more successful crappie pros around this area use the BGJP's? I bet they think they get a better catch ratio with em!!!! Heck, they can get which ever ones they want----FREE!!!!! Must be Some reason for them picking the BGJP's!!!!!!Quote:

I don't leave home without my BGJPs. Anything 3/4 ounce and under I use them 100% of the time spider rigging.
I use BGJP's for long lining and pulling small CB's all the time. I've not tried any of the others. If someone don't want theirs, send 'em my way. LOL

I have never done a side by side comparison in a trolling rack but I have both C&C & BGJP poles. There isn't allot of difference between the two as a blank pole. The C&C's have a longer foam handle from the reel back. The butt end is also beveled so you can adjust your tip height with little adjustments. I prefer to troll with 16’ BGJP’s most of the time, especially during the spring. I use 14’ C&C’s during the winter when the fish are deep. I also like using 14’ C&C poles when I’m fishing brush tops for black crappie.
How do they compare to the pst,s BnM poles.need to buy two 14 ft poles to use this fall,I guess person needs to buy one of each to use to find out what is best for him to use.
The PST is a great pole and can be used for everything. I mainly use PST's to troll crankbaits or power troll with heavy weights. They are the stiffest of the three poles discussed. If I were just buying two rods and only planned to spider rig with them I would get the BGJP.
