Custom Kayak Trailer

Hello I am the TIG-Master. i just wanted to post some pictures and a video of my trailer and Kayak. it's an Ascend FS128T by Bass Pro shops. Nice concept. Love the storage compartment too. There is a market out there for something custom like that. I gave up on looking and just fabricated one that
made me happy. You have some great ideas and you will enjoy your creation for a long time. Congrats.

The trailer and yak has everything a yaker needs, nice work.

Nicely done. I bet it makes launching that FS128T alot less of a pain. One sweet rig for sure. :highfive

I LOVE the trailer. How do you like the kayak? I have one that I'm not too crazy about... Very comfortable with lots if room but leaks around the hatches terribly!! I called tracker plastics and they sent out new hatches and seals. They admitted having a lot of trouble with them and were very nice but even the new hatches didn't make any difference. I take on about two gallons in a half day. Finally bought a hobie and the ascend is now just a backup

Well i researched it well b4 buying it. Once i got it I took off all the hatches and sealed them all with a marine base sealer. Also i did not screw them back down in the original holes I moved the hatches around a little and created now holes so to secure it better. Also the hatch behind the seat I reversed it so it would be easier to open while on the water. i still get some water but maybe about a cup full and that is after a full day on the water and then a rinse off. Yea a Hobie is the Roll Royce of kayaks. I am looking for another to add to the collection..
