A 2008 chevy with 108000 miles be worth buying? It's the cleanest one I've found in my 20000 dollar budget. If taken care of how long does the newer model Chevys usually last ?

I have heard of some running 300, 000 miles no problem if service right but who knows how the truck your looking at was cared for? It might be clean as a pin but know way of knowing how it was driven or how often it was serviced. It may be a great truck but who knows ? I know we all do what we have to do but I never have liked buying used vehicals unless I coud get a warrantyon them.
I bought my 2000 z71 with 114,000 on it for $14,500, it now has 250,000 on it
bout my 2000 f250 gasser for $1500 with 271K on it--has 285K on it now:)
i can get 300000 out of them and they still run good
If it was me, I would try to contact the previous owner. Realize that is not possible some times. Or if you have a mechanic you trust take it to them and have it gone over. 100.00 or so may satisfy you or save you a bunch of grief. Either way be money well spent. Like G and Downsouth said if it was maintained right it should last a long time.
20k? Dern, u folks is rich. That'd be enough for me to buy 4 new trailer houses and have money left over for running water to a couple of em. Shewwweeee.
I ain't scared of 100k. Just bought Gonnabe an 01 with 140k and its a strong truck. Perfect for him to run over his first deer with and give me the it wasn't my fault shrug that they teach all teenagers these days at the schoolhouse.
Wannabe...
A little steep in price for a investment that has a lot of questions . Can you get service records ? If not ?walk . Jmo.:better off to go to sale and have back up money to do repairs .know any one with dealer license ?
I looked for a decent truck at a reasonable price for a long time. Everyone wanted unreal prices for trucks with 100K miles so I finally decided to buy a dealer demo with 3000 miles. After discounts and rebates I ended up not paying much more than I would have for a used truck with many more miles and I still have a full warranty.
I have a similar budget and I'm going to end up traveling a couple hundred miles to buy a decent used truck. That being said, nearly everything in the 20k range had a ton of miles or something funny about it, no matter where you go. Go up to $23-$24k and you'll find some good to great stuff. Just not close by.
Just had a complete tune up on my 94 GMC was getting miss so figured it was time still had orig rotor, cap and plug wires, rotor cap was eat up.Got all of it changed out plus new oil cooler lines and fuel filter, runs like a new one only 125K on it.Just proves that good maint and they will last a long time.
Get you a mid 90s f150 with a 300 4.9 inline six with 5 speed and don't look back. I bought a 1990 like that for 1400.00 5 years ago. With that said, new shocks, fuel pump in front tank, nothing major
She aint the purtiest thing but pulls my camper/boat no problems.
Take a trip to Alaska with the money you saved. What we did. At my age 53, I have realized that it's not so much what you have but what you do and who you do it with.
Who can remember the date of their first flat screen tv bought ?
I got 502k on a 2000 gmc. Changed engine last December with 467k
