Fishergurl, don't handcuff yourself when it comes to buying a good ff. Folks who say you don't really need side and down imaging are probably folks who have never used down and side imaging and seen the results they produce.

we always wondered which way the fish on our ff were going, on the screen it's alway right to left, i'm beginning to think it's a prerecorded screen that scrolls across. i've never been successful fishing with a ff.
