Me, too. Any reports out there ????
The bite is alittle slow. Work your way up river and find the shad.
Chucky do you pull crank baits or spider rig?
Me too. I tried it today for the first time on Barren and managed to catch a lot of rocks. I may have to up grade my depth finder if I choose to pursue crankin. Good thing I bought those minners. I wound up keeping 20 today.
My first time i did manage about 25 keepers, after i straighten out my reels.
Do you have down or side imaging with charts?
I have both with gps.

I'm going to GR the weekend of the 11th. Does anyone have any advice on where I should try; depth, flats, timber ect?
I know people dont like to give out spots, but any help please. Kinda new to crappie fishing-I've usually fished for bass. Going with my brother and I'd like to show him a good trip. Really starting to get in to crappie, just havn't had much luck. Bought a half dozen bandits. May try trolling. Noticed some steep ledges close to some flat areas on Navionics web app-good idea or not?
Dave ... word is that Bandit trolling success rate is starting to wane, but still might be worth trying during the heat of the day. Whatever you do, do it where there's a concentration of Shad. And keep looking back here, as there may be some reports coming after this coming weekend.

Fished yday, bite was extremely slow. Fished flats, brush, you name it, had limited luck. Tons of shad, but no crappie..
Caught 42 in about 6hrs on minnows under slip bobbers throwing at brush in 9-14 fow. hope this helps someone....be a while before we get out again.
