bait ball having a very bad day
In 80 ft spread its hard to tell but in 50ft you can see those two schools of fish on that flat in the last two pix. they stand out pretty good. did you get a hook in them and see if they were crappie?
Those are what I look for. pix may be grainy but it ahows the fish and thats what counts. I can see were you turned the boat some after going by that 1st school. kosmo had me pegged doing the same thing but mine was a harder turn...got excited :biggrin
thx for the pix :cheers2
Thanks, what I find difficult is to see all this stuff in the moment. It's pretty easy to go back and find a school of fish or that brush pile but when so much is going on and you're trying to avoid hitting other boats its just hard to see everything but I'm going to get better at it.
and no, I didn't catch any, and those were si left side only,
Good shots Brett...

Good pictures brettw, but i don't tlink that those are fish in those last two shots.looks more like it could be man made.possiblly a pile of rocks or such.its kind of fuzzy so i can't be sure.did you mark a way point and check it later?
I agree, my battery cables didn't bring up any keepers
Kosmo tell me if I'm missing something but the shadows are not the same for each of the spots I'm seeing. The rocks I've seen have the same pattern of shadows for each rock. These are the same as the schools I've found over the last few times out. Not trying to start anything just trying to learn.
Good idea on hitting it again later to get another shot. The ones I've found I would turn and pull a few out then have to find them again due to them running the bait fish. The only time I stayed at one location was when they were holding on cover.
thx kosmo for the info. I do like the 2D on the 898...but I also like to recon by fire, jig out...stand by! :Rofl
