I figure I had around 200 birds the other day, I have been using 1.5 gallons of juice every 3 days. I've used 24#'s of sugar in 3 weeks.

Wow, you do have a bunch! I have really enjoyed watching my feeders as well. I am going through a half gallon every 3 days myself. Thanks for the post.
Looks like they are getting ready for the long trip south.
Wow that's amazing, I am amazed to see all of yours drinking at the same time. The one's we get here will fight each other constantly and seems like only 1 is allowed to drink at a time.
We have 5 feeders and go through about 1 gallon/4-5 days. I've counted about 20 at a time but don't know how many are in the area. They'll swarm like cc06's video, and then as if on signal will zip away, only to swarm again later. They're sure fun to watch.
My sister has 2 feeders. Most of the time they only drink out of one of them, because one of the hummingbirds is territorial. It sits on top of the other feeder, and runs all the other ones off when they try to use it. Entertaining to watch them.
iIf you can count 20 on feeder you have 3 to 4 times that many birds if you put enough feeders close together they can't fight as much and you have more that can feed. I counted around 40 on feeders but its hard to keep track at one time
amazing I get to watch a few up here but nothing like that
They're gone! Yesterday I counted 20 at a time but today 10 is the most I've seen. Seems the cool front has pushed them south.
kinda like the crappies here today gone tomm??
I still have some birds but most have moved south I know most of these are new ones because they are very nervous at feeders
Caught another one yesterday

Okay, cc06, I'll bite. How did you catch it? We've caught three over the last few years. Two got hung up in a feeder that has a rail around it and I caught one by hand that got trapped under the porch and couldn't figure out how to escape. If I ever catch one again I'm going to put a small dab of fingernail polish on its back to see how often they come to the feeders.
I am always afraid to catch them because I might hurt them, they seem fragile. And if I did hurt one by doing that, I would really feel guilty by doing so. I had to once when one flew into my shop. I was real careful though.
Tbone I let them land on my pointer finger then put my thumb against their feet and cover them with my other hand and yes I have to be careful not to hurt them I would be sick if that ever happen. I found one dead in my yard one spring and I wasn't happy I think a mocking bird or a cat killed it but not sure. We catch quite a few under our awning when they get disoriented last year we caught about ten. I would like to band them but I have never got that far yet. You need to be good at identifying them to document their info.

Careful :)
Carol Foil was one of my teachers in vet school....
cc06, you must have a lot of patience for them to light on your finger. Do you hold the feeder next to it? My wife has sat on the porch rail before holding a feeder and they would come to it but we've never had one sit on our finger.
Go to youtube and search 06LouisianaMan and you will see my video of them landing on my finger. I had five different birds land on my finger today and I caught one of them.
did yall know that a hummingbird has more bones in his neck than a giraffe??
Dad is/was a big birder. The folks on that site take their birds seriously thus the warning. LOL
Interesting tidbit, Doc.
Coos videos. That's a bunch of hummingbirds.
Jig rig I know what your saying very serious I'm defiantly not in that class but I love my birds
