I am gonna be at nimrod trying out minner critters i think
That's one of the great advantages of being retired. I'm gonna pass and stay in the cool and wait until the crowd is gone, then go fishing!
I will also be on Nimrod, probably fishing with lots of different stuff.

I will be at Nimrod too, Carter Cove, site 10. J.W, are you saying you gonna be using minners?

Yep write it on the calendar. I am gonna run 1/2 and 1/2. Last year billy e fished with me and we were about even jig for minner fish caught. I am gonna run my own test again. Its been a long long time since i fished a minnow lol. Just ask lmbarnett we spanked em on jigs a few weeks ago lol. I have never fished a minner critter and ol jerry is gonna get me some to try.
I catch plenty of fish up there but i am going to try to dangle a minnow over the 700 brush piles I know of.
What i noticed in the last few weeks is the fish i have caught been shallow and after one or two passes over them with my big boat they scatter. I have found some places hold big fish and some small fish. When i get on the bigger ones i haven't been able to stay with them as they been spooking as i stated. I hope to ease on in them and pick em off. I may even try to single pole too lol. Just experimenting i guess. No pictures allowed if you see me!!!

Handi you are right i did pitch some minners at some tops in the spring lol. Man i guess i am getting early timers syndrome cause i sure forgot about that trip. I recall i also tried em on lake Dardenelle too once this spring now you refreshed my failing memory :0. I guess its time to try them again then. I ran out of minner patches he he he.

I'll probably fish nimrod Sunday or Monday but Saturday I will be putting out cameras , feeding and clearing roads and trails for the upcoming deer season! if y'all are still there on Sunday ill try and look ya up!!! Good luck!!
