That's the biggest cajun cooker I've ever seen. What size is that a 1500 gallon?
I can't believe they can produce enough in one place to keep me supplied...........errr, I mean to keep everyone supplied! :biggrin
Randy - great pics. Glad you and the family are having a good time.
The fire burning is the actual way they make there charcoal for the process. And ever drop of water the use comes from that cave with the spring running out of it.... A constant 56 degrees.. If you have ever took a sip of JD , it had water from that exact cave/spring.
They still actually make there own barrells by hand to store the whisky in... And only use them one time.
I was told that if u live in moore county that JD pays everyones property taxes!!
They wouldnt let us take pics inside any buildings
I ain't never took the first sip, so somebody is double dipping.
JD has always been a favorite of mine and I wouldn't doubt that in my earlier years that I consumed more of it than I should have(I'm really quite sure that I consumed more than I should have). Now a days, when I do get the notion for a taste, I prefer Single Barrel or Gentleman Jack. I think I've been working on the last fifth of Single Barrel for a little over 2 years. Maybe this winter I can finally put it to rest.
