Greetings from a new guy to fishing.
Hello All,
Just a quick introduction of myself. I have never been overly fond of fishing, I like catching, but not fishing. I know can't have catching without fishing, but you can have fishing without catching.
Anyway, I am about a year away from retirement and the wife LOVES fishing and I love spending time with her, so I guess it is time to start figuring out this fishing thing. To date all my experience and knowledge about Pan fishing comes from my Father-in-law, who boat fishes on Stonewall Jackson lake in West Virginia. So I only know the poles he uses, the knots he ties and the set up that he prefers along with the fish he likes.
I must likely will be a Lurker for quite sometime until I start to get a handle on some of the information that is contained here. Then the questions will start to come along, until I have sucked all of the fishing knowledge out of your collective noodles.
Anyway thanks for maintaining an extensive informational site that is new person and family friendly.
