Bears seem to be a nuisance to me, where ever they are plentiful people constantly have problems. They raid garbage, bee hives, camp sites, unoccupied vehicles, and anyplace they think holds food. Why the heck is the MDWFP transplanting these things? A few years back some folks wanted wild hogs, I hope this bear thing doesn't turn out like the hog issue.
We have bears, all they do is cost me money!!! They can tear anything up. They can eat 300 lbs. of corn in a week. Be glad when we get a season!
They are cool to see once in a while but when they decide to stay around they can cause some serious damage and aggravation. We have a very dense population in a 5 county area, but only get a 1 day a year season. Good thing they don't breed like a hog.
They radio collared 6 more behind the levee where I hunt. Had 4 on camera last year. I'm not a huge fan of the bears.
Client of mine just got in trouble shooing one with his bow. Think it cost him bout 15 grand inj fines and can't hunt for 2 years
AR has a good bear season
They have a decent quota and it runs about 2 months (depending on when the quota is reached.)
When I'm out easing through the woods heading toward my deer stand before sunrise, I hate the thought that something as big as a bear might be eyeing me as food!Seen what they can do to a big ole log searching for grubs. Them claws can do some damage.Let alone a momma and cubs!Used to hunt Pot Latch land off the White River near Claranden Ark. They put them in Dagmar WMA and they migrated out into the area I hunted.Never came face to face with one in the dark!:yikes
Thanks for keeping them on your side of the fence!!! Keep feeding them!!!!
