Good luck. The fish are scattered and the spillway was closed Sunday so there is no current in the lake right now.
I was out there sunday and kept 14 pulling cranks.
Go get em!!!

Tough day on Sardis also today (for me). My buddy and I pulled cranks from 7:00 til 12:30 and only caught 20 keepers. Wind blew from south when we started, changed to the west, then to the north and was blowing from the east when we left.Quote:

My rule of thumb is to fish cranks when water temp is above 70 degrees. I usually start about 3-4 weeks after the spawn and quit in the fall when the crappie start to bunch up since I prefer to spider-rig for them.
