Milford end of July report and PICS
Was gonna try a new to us lake and hit Melvern but my girlfriend and I have been having so much fun at Milford this summer we decided to go back again. Fished Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and the fishing was tougher than 2 weeks prior. Water temps were 76 to start the day and would climb to the low to mid 80s later in the day. Took my Grayline shad tank and cast net and would net shad in the mornings, fill the tank once and be set for the whole day. These things keep shad alive and frisky all day even in the heat. Caught descent numbers of whites, lots of small wipers with around 10 good ones to 5 or 6 lbs, gobs of small channels and blues and 3 walleye...a 24 1/2 in, 27 in, and a 28 in. No big numbers of walleye but quality was excellent. all fish released to swim another day. The 24 1/2 was my girlfriends largest walleye to date in her first yr of fishing, and was caught on a jig and crawler and the 27 and 28 were caught on live shad as was most everything else this trip.Attachment 133245Attachment 133246Attachment 133247Attachment 133248Attachment 133249
