When oil is misting out of the motor when you take the cap off where you add oil? What could possibly be wrong
blow by.....worn rings or stuck oil rings can cause it
Is that something that needs fixing immediately and is it expensive
I agree blow by on the rings, I would check compression on all cylinders and see if they are lower than supposed to be.
Wore out.

Rings probably lost tension or are stuck........ probably rebuild time You could try adding a quart of Marvels Mystery oil to it and putting some ring free in the gas and running it and see if it gets better but more than likely its rebuild time.Quote:

System Restore and Marvel mystery oil. Drain oil first, change filter and oil, fill back up. Look for metal in oil pan! Put a magnet in drain pan and swirl it around. Take it out and see just how bad it looks.How many miles on motor?Sounds like a build to me!Check around for cheap motor on Craigs or E-Bay!
