That's gonna be awesome. I love anything made out of old reclaimed wood.
fantastic....you do really nice work
Waiting on gdgs approval!
That is going to be some kinda nice when finished Ducker.
The thing is it ain't goin in my house! It's for my brother
It is hard to work with that old wood though!
Looking good.
With old wood you have to soak it in water to nail it and it still can split.
Pre drill the holes and use screws. Use petroleum jelly or oil on the screws.
Dang dewd. You definitely know what you a doing. Ats sharp
Dang Ducker. You a jack of all trades!First a new floor, now this! That piece of furniture is gonna look awesome for sure!
It's tough being poor slablapper!
Looks real good!
First class for sure. I made my kitchen cabinets out of reclaimed pecky cypress. How do you plan on staining/sealing it?
It's not getting stained
O.K. but couldn't you find some nice, new wood????
Man I would lot rather have something either made out of old wood or made to look old than new, JMO, looks awesome Ducker lets see some pics after the doors and tops are put on. You gonna do flat panel or raised panel doors, I think old style flat panel or country doors would look good on it. Very nice ducker.
I'm sure we could or we coulda planed this down, but we wanted the old look to it!
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/05/7eje8upa.jpgthe drawers and doors are flat but the doors are gonna have a hardware mesh in em for display purposes so they're just flush frame doors
Looks great. Like the old wood look myself.
Outstanding work Ducker!!
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/05/asybaba4.jpgYes the knot hole was intentionally left in the top. Character markshttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/05/qama8uva.jpgon the trailer greenwood bound. He's gotta finish the knobs and the hardware mesh next weekend and then it will be complete
Very nice! I have no patience for wood work. My daughter has been bugging me to build her a lectern for her classroom...Want the gig? :)
Awesome job Ducker, the wire mesh will look good and rustic looking, paint it with some flat black paint and it will look awesome. I got some cabinets to build for a customer in a couple of weeks, come on down and gimme a hand.
BTW I showed these pics to my wife, man I shoulda neva done that.:banghead
I'm more of a sheet metal guy! Haha
