Try here, http://www.crappie.com/crappie/kayak...s-contest.html, lot of good ideas,
mine is not a Pelican but it's a small two man boat - Sun Dolphin Sportsman - I made many mods to it since buying it a few months ago. First thing I did was upgrade the seats - well only one cause I usually fish alone. But that was easy just bought a padded seat from Walmart and changed them out. I mounted my MK TM to the bow and made a rudder for the stern - that helps a lot keeps boat steady especially if the wind kicks up like it did yesterday. I used a old road sign and cut it down to size then screwed it to a 2" steel pipe. I got an MK TM mounting bracket off e-bay for $30. Another mod I made was to put in a plywood floor, had it cut to fit at Lowes - took them the measurements and they cut it down for me. Then I attached marine carpet to it, makes for a nice floor and can stand a little more steady then before. I have installed pole holders and a rod storage holder too and a battery box. I also have one of those portable fish finders that clamps on the side and hangs over into the water - works great. The next thing that I'm gonna get is a trailer - right now I just back my truck tailgate right to the water at the loading ramp and pull it in from there - loading it back in I just do the same thing and pull it up on the tailgate. I love my little boat - we have a lot of 5mph no wake lakes around here (Omaha) so it does great. Here are some pictures and I try to up load as many as I can.

You got a nice little fishing machine there. Clean and well placed accessories. Going to be hard to get much better than hauling it in the back of the truck.
No trailer lights to go bad, no problems backing into the water, no flats on the trailer, no trailer tags to deal with. I haul my kayak in the back of my truck
rather than haul it on my trailer. I use the trailer only when there are two of us going in my truck and taking two kayaks.
Thanks RR - it took me a while to get it the way I have now - bunch of trial and errors on a few things - thanks for the trailer tips - however I do have my eye on a good deal I saw on Craig's list - if I can ever get the guy who is advertising it to answer my reply to his ad. Don't know why anyone would advertise something for sale then not respond to the replies and if he sold it then just let me know that's all I ask.
:scratchhead I agree.
That's a great set up. Mines a lot smaller and says its rated for 200lb so I'm not sure what all I can do with it I weight right at that already lol
I am not trying to be funny but I guess some could take it that way. Add outriggers made out of large PVC pipe. Cap one end then foam fill them and then cap the other end. Would even give you an additional area to mount LED lights, marker lights, etc. Just a thought.
FISH ON:fish
Well I filled it with expanding foam. Held five freaking cans. Built a carpeted deck and some rod holders (one on each side) angled out to sides. In process of covering everything with a thin layer of spray on rubber. Ill post pictures when I get it all done.
This is something I want to see. Once had a Maxi Poke Boat that I foamed the front and rear to replace inflatable air bags. Worked great and you
could carve it anyway you wanted to fit your needs. Sold it and have regretted it ever since. Guess we are all guilty of doing that at least once
in a lifetime. rotfl
Just got a 1976 , 2hp johnson for my prowler, it's not very fast but if the battery goes out I can always go to the 2 hp. Great way to save battery too... These are really neat to sneak into those tight place vs my 15 foot Jon
where did you get the rod storage holders? I have the same boat, nice idea's
Lots of ideas/pictures here. Have fun with it. I enjoy mine - but usually if I'm solo - I just take one of my kayaks... However - there's a whole lot more room on a 'buggy'... (at least compared to my 'yaks)
