And just what is the benefit of this permit. Seems to me just another way to fleece sportsman.

I believe he is talking about a COE annual parking/boat launch permit. If so, it's a great deal. The permit costs $30.00 and is good at all COE boat ramps nation wide. At $3.00 per day pay at the ramp rates it pays for itself quickly and it saves you from scrambling to make change at the ramp. Almost everywhere I fish is covered with this permit, all of the big 4, and the Ten-Tom waterway.Quote:

The benefit for me is that I've launched at least 20 times at 3 bucks a pop. Permit is only 30 bucks.

Can't buy online or even call and give card #. I tried last week. You have to stop by office or mail and check to them and they will mail your permit back to you.Quote:

My parents have worked at the various gate houses going into camping areas on Greers Ferry and Table Rock lakes for over 15 years. That's where I get mine. I would suspect you can get them at any COE gate houses on COE lakes that have them. I use mine even when I'm poaching over in MS.
Yes a permit is in my near future. The dailys just flew off my rear view on the way back from bass pro going on 240 loop back to Olive Branch. In the 5 or 6 weeks at this I would be real close to 30 bucks.

Arkabutla office # is 662-562-6261 unless it has been changed recently.
One more thing. Both years they sent my permit registered mail. Someone had to sign for it. So I had to go to the post office each time.
