Good luck, Gordon!!
Cool. Thanks for sharing. That is awesome. kcbrown is in there somewhere wearing a crappie.com shirt. We wish him the best of luck.
Thanks for sharing
I tried the race results web site and couldn't locate it properly. Keep us updated if you have any information.
here is a link to track boats, but too early to see how it works. Maybe the one Gordon posted will work later in the day
Actually, I think my link is the same as the one Gordon put up and it is working now...Gordon Brown...# 9937
Cool
Resupplied Gordon with water and gaterade in Lexington we stopped at all the boat ramps along the way to watch them go by .He's in good spirits with a long way left to go .If you can get out and watch it I would recommend it and give Kc some encouragement .More to come later .
Glad you all were able to help him out and cheer him on. Pretty cool event.
As of 6:50 p.m. , Gordon has moved into 78th place
Thats right where he should be saving his energy for the up coming days.
He is 55 out of the 130 in the mens solo event
Debbie said he made it to Waverly already and 95th overall.
I went out and watched the start from downtown KC on my way to work. It was pretty darn cool but I wasn't able to spot Gordon in the sea of boats! Having fun tracking his progress online! Keep on paddlin, Gordon!
Looks like he must of stopped and got some rest over night , 4 1/2 hrs. behind last eta , but still doing GREAT !!! 185 in the over all and 91 in his division !!!! Next check-in at Glasgow about 9:15am . If any of y'all can get out to any of these check points Do It ! take your binoculars and look for boat number 9937 , yell GORDON as he goes by or help catch his boat if he pulls in .
Hey JR, are you supplying him with food and water at these stops? Just checking to see if he will need something down this way.
No we were only able to follow him yesterday . his wife was going to meet him at Glasgow and then he wasn't sure after that .
Just talk to his wife Lisa via text she is at Franklin island, he well be there any time and doing ok . 25 miles to the half way mark !!!
Paddle Gordon paddle.................keep tellin' yourself your in it to win it.
Thanks for the updates on Gordon. I know we are all rootin for him.
The first boat reached ST. Charles at 7:58 pm , WOW 35hr. 58min. new record (unofficial) team by the name of "winter is coming " I think its a six man team from Texas
You go Gordon. Thanks for the updates Deb.
Anyone gets a chance to see him, take pitchers.
Up date on Gordon as of 9:06 pm he had checked in at Katfish Kayts...putting him in 68th place in his division :ThumbsUp and 132nd in the over all. This is basically the halfway point, next stop is Jefferson City his eta is 3:00 am if he paddles straight through...:yikes

Looks like he gained some ground over night. If he keeps pace he will have very very respectable finish. Keep cheering him on guys and gals. Will be nice and cool the rest of the way for him but he still has a long way to go.
Go Gordon Go
Todays update is Gordon left Katfish Katy's at 3:40 am and heading to Noren Access (Jeff City), the raceowl site had incorrect information do to miss-communication between check in points...
We have talked to Lisa and his goal today is to get where he only has 50 miles to paddle on Friday...and he is doing well!!! White Flag Icon
Go Gordon Go
GGG.....GGG......GGG
That is awesome. Hope the weather stays fair and cool without much rain.
G.
go gorden go hats off to pit crew looks like they do all tha work he is having ALL THE FUN
I'm going to try and hook up with him at Hermann. I am hoping there is still light where I can gets some pictures of him. I'll let him know everyone following him and pulling for him.
Go go go Gordon!!!!:):)
I just talked to Lisa and he was 15 miles from Hermann. So I am guessing at around 5.6 mph he should be in Hermann around 8pm
He's still cooking along then. Thats a great stop for some wine. But I bet that's the last thing on his mind right now. One more night to make it through and he will be on the home stretch to the finish line. Wish I was closer to be there at the finish line to cheer him on and help drag him out of the boat and to the truck. I bet he will sleep all the way home. Keep us updated on his progress.
THANKS for the update. Good going Gordon.

Here is Gordon arriving in Herman around 8pm. After downing some protein drinks, medical care on his hands and back massage by Lisa he was back in and off into the sunset. His plan was to kayak 20 more miles tonight and find a place to sleep on a sand bar new Washington. Southpoint when you head to work tomorrow and you see a guy sleeping with his life vest on, wake him up and send him in the right direction. He should finish the race tomorrow in St Charles.
WTG Gordon!
Where is the finish line ?
Glad you got to meet up with him. Still on a good pace. Thanks for the update Mark.
You da man Gordon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheers2
