Back To Henderson-Friday 7/19....

I fished today in N. Bigeaux……(tried Amoco area first but no bites and only about 4 boats in that area)……..kept 6 sacs…..big one 13" but skinny…….most medium to small…..thro back 3 sacs, one chink & 4 big gar……two sacs on blue & white 3 tail….rest on shiners……fished in water 5 to 13 ft deep……tried shallow and deep ……..caught one gar down 8 ft......best was around 2 to 3 ft deep…..fished in floating trash on top of water……just kept moving around…….this is same spot I got 20 keepers on 7/8……..I like the shade it offers early…..fish like the shade also……most guys I talked to had none or 1…….

Nice catch PS. I'm about to have carpal tunnel surgery Wednesday so I'm going to be out of the fishing game for about six weeks.

Are you doing both hands at the same time? I went thru carpal tunnel surgery 15 years ago. It's tuff catching with one hand.:biggrin

Actually I'm a paper mill hand myself we work a seven on and two off rotation but my dad 40watt worked in the oil field all through the 80's for the Mixon bro's out of West Monroe. Oilfield is a hard way to make a living for sure, if that don't make a man out of you nothing will :)

PS -- I fished your shady spot earlier in the year. Caught a couple of nice ones. This time of uear shade beats fish some times.
