Does anyone have any idea bout this gun? I can tell ya this, its olddddd, and built a lot heavier than the ones you buy today, 30 inch full choaker, nickel plated reciever, the wood is so old its turned almost black. Says, Bridge Gun Company on the side.
what gauge?

I'd say from the looks of it--it is probably late 1920's early 1930's--but that's just a guess:)
Twisted steel wire barrels most likely. Do not shoot modern loads in it. Clean it up and hang on the wall.
Well I am gonna clean it up real good and refinish the stocks like you did Cray, make a little display case out of oak with some red felt and display it. It aint goin no where, it was my grandads. WB said it was an argument ender. hahaha
Leave it alone and hang it on the wall. Never try to "RESTORE" an old gun. Will lose any value it might have now or in the future. Only refinish a gun you intend to use.
Might do that but I am gonna make a nice box for it to sit in, just because of where it came from.

Good deal, my brother has one that belonged to my dad's stepfather. Outside hammer with those Damascus barrels. First shotgun I ever fired and one of the hammers split my head open. Those are great representatives of our history and so many get relegated to the back of a closet.Quote:
