Gewbers! Never heard of Mid south comm college, where is it? I have worried about commercial fishermen bringing them into the lakes but that never crossed my mind.
Community college in west mempis, ark
West Memphis. It's actually upper limit aviation but they're in with the community college
I believe it was a Gewber in Arkansas who originally caused the problem. Stocked his ponds with them and a flood came. What I've heard anyway.
I can bash Ar folks...My family came from Delta out from Helena and the wife's family are Jonesboro hillbilly's.:biggrin
Some gewber had to give them permission to do what they were doing cause im pretty sure you can't just fly around in a helicopter and dump water out of a river everywhere without someone knowing whats going on
It's speck's fault .
Here is a detailed timeline of the whole carp problem. And yes, it began in Arkansas.
The AGFC was stocking them big time to control grass in lakes all across the state and at some point they started popping up in the rivers, the rest is history.
Asian Carp - Detailed Timeline
Ain't nothing good ever come out of AR except quarry rock. I tolt y'all we should ban em all. I suggest we start with Handi since Creekslick is scarce these days. BRM would be easier to run to ground though, but hey, wherever y'all want to start is fine with me.
Wannabe...
Do as I do, or say. Carry some trash bags with you fishing. Place them in a dumpster when you return to shore. Carry them home to feed the animals around your place.
:dono
Thanks Ernie Lentz for investigating and stopping this potential disaster to Arkabutla!
Slabin, me either... Waaaayyy over my head I guess
Always wondered where the razorback name for Arkansas came from. That's the hillbilly term for when a carp jumps you from behind and you get stuck by a fin.
