Congrats!!! I want one real bad but I just bought a house so that is kind of out of the question for a little while
You'll love it Steve, I was in a boat that had one and it was awesome.
Cats meow, congratz!!
Steve let me know how you like it. I think your cable steer days are over.. lol
I have had one for a year and while they are not perfect, they are a big help or at least mine has been to a newbie trolling motor operator like me.

Im getting there
You going to try it out this weekend Steve?
be there saturday and sunday
I think I will be on the south end both of those days in the morning only.
I got one in March. Coming from cable steering to terrova seems more difficult controlling on single dipping trees at truman to me. Like all the other aspects of it very much.
its on and it works I will see you sometime bowhunter maybe this weekend
its going to take me a few times out to learn how to use it like it should be.
Lucky guy, a friend I fish with has one took him four trips to get the hang of it, it sure is nice.........................
i took it out to make sure it worked and I already liked it. sat at the consule and run the boat. set a way point and then went back to it.. Cant wait for shelbyville and using the lakemaster maps.
Im glad for you Steve, you will love it.
well I think no I know I am going to like it. worked good this weekend just a learning curve for all the gadgets on. never could get follow the contour to work but I will after watching the video and reading the manual better. Dont think it will hold good enough for the spot lock or anchor on a brush pile but works great to keep from drifting away when your tie on a lure or working with fish. Wife can drive it so that helps. It will be great for trolling and spider rigging
I love mine would be hard to go back to cable. I like the pedal when i'm holding a pole in each hand :fish
steve, you'll find if the wind isn't too heavy and you drift a little it will bring you right back to where you set it. if it's too windy that doesn't work as well, but you'll still love it. I don't have the I-pilot link, but sounds like a great feature. let us know how it works when you get it all figured out.
From what I have read, if you have the latest updates installed in the i-pilot link, the spot lock works a lot better.
took it out tonight to try the follow the contour feature. tracks right along where you set it at. I was trolling with the wind and with my alum boat it seemed to blow it off course some, I turned around and went into the wind and it seemed to track better. overal it works great.
What locator are you linked to? Just wondering I was about to buy the link and a better locator but bought a 3/4 ton truck instead The 1/2 ton wasn't really big enough for the fifth wheel. Wife says I'm done for this year lol
898c i dont tell mine
She don't miss much and walks by the boat everyday, plus she pays the bills
