Big Bear!
Lookin for some input dont matter.
Heck I'm at Big Bear right now. Come on down!
Mammoth cave is great, Bowling Green has Beech Bend park, water rides, roller coasters and lots of stuff for kids plus drag racing on the weekends. Around here on KY and Barkley Lake there is cabin rentals, house boat, jet ski rentals, golf (I don't play) and Patti's Restaurant, LBL has camping, hiking, bicycling and lots of nature. I can't really help much with any of that "civilized" stuff, as a country boy growing up on the farm I wasn't exposed to much of it.
I have done all that just trying to find new things.
In Northern Ky area, we have Creation Museum. Downtown area, Cincy, we have Reds, Cincy Zoo, Kings Island Amusement Park. Fishing is fair.

Hope this helps.
If you make the Louisville trip you can also go to BPS and the new Cabelas that opened this spring, fishing and hunting shopping!
You guys sending me to BPS and Cabelas that is NOT what the my Honey wants to do. Believe me I fish every weekend from Sept-May both days. I know its hard to keep me away from FISHIN.
You always have in the southern part of the state: Natural Bridge, Red River Gorge, and of course Cumberland Falls.
Tell us what your "Honey" wants to do, and maybe we can better suggest a place to go !!!
It would also help to know "WHEN" you plan on taking this vacation trip !!
