Never let your girlfriend/ wife/ fiancé talk you into going in the humane society with the intentions of just looking. We have plenty of animals but she found one she wanted bad and I felt sorry for all the animals so we ended up adding another addition to our animal family lol
This is a mistake, thing is that you havent learned your lesson, the next time she says she wants to go yoiu will take her, you will never learn!!!!:Rofl

I've tried the adoption thing....LOL. Local shelter had an adoption day at Tractor Supply. Let the kiddo talk me into getting this "sweet" little dog named Darla. Things were great until Shorty came home. Dog hated him. I think she bit him 3 times the first night...LOL. Needless to say I had to find the dog a new home.
Can't just look when you go there. It's impossible when those sad eyes are lookin up at ya.

if anyone eva, eva, decides to have a pet, the shelters are the only place to shop and support....

Oh that happened about 6 months ago. Just starting out we had only older vehicles and I still do bc I am more worried about working on the house than having a new truck but I finally got tired of both breaking down and one day they was both messing up so I gave in and said heck with it and we went car shopping lol she got the new one and I'm stuck with the old one but that's fine by me bc we bought a brand new car for less than what I'd be paying for a truck with 100000 miles. They are crazy high
You have the old truck to haul all that building material in without messing up a new truck. So wait.
Shop craigslist where pets are free or low cost. I was taking Luke to a city vet. A rabies shot cost over $100., found a country vet. Same shot is $15.
I only go shopping at shoe stores with my wife. I walk around picking up all the silica gel packs I can find. If asked about it by an employee, I ask what do you plan to do with them, pick them up and trash them, I have a use for them. So I'm doing you a favor.

They are great for moisture control. If you have one or more to turn a tan color, throw it out and check for water leaks. No problems with my weekly stock, just my extras.
Earlier today I was informed that I have to take my wife shopping tomorrow, for SHOES. She has an appointment to see a doctor aug. 1st about her feet. She looked today for shoes in the south crest mall. Now I have to take her to east memphis.
Worked at a manufactering plant and each pallet of metal would have from one to three of the large slicia packs in them. I would collect them and take them home. Bet I had thirty pounds of them when my sons decided to play ball or something with them. Needed a vac to get them up. Talked about ticked.

Years ago some young lady, which I know, let her child chew on one of the packs at Target, Horn Lake. She's doing well after the outcome of that now. It's the only store I know of not to look for the silica packs in shoe boxes.

The store she picks doesn't have to boxes of shoes on shelves or racks. Like the old shoe stores, they bring the boxes out to you from the back. Dang, I'm out of luck on the shoe shopping run.
As Debbie is paying for her shoes I ask the lady what they did with the silica packs from the boxes. As she is bending over she says her husband told me to save them, never know when someone may have a use for them. The nice looking kraft paper bag with a handle and company logo on it big enough to hold a standard shoebox was 3/4 full of silica gel packs. I offered to pay $20 for the bag, she said no, they're free. So we left with my nice looking free bag and Debbie's $190. bag
