If you had to pick 1 color of the Bobby Garland Baby Shad which would you pick? I think I would probably go with the bluegrass color.

Cajun Cricket
Blue ice , man I catch a lot of fish with that one ,but the best is hair jigs . JMHO . Make my own .
In clear water with high visibility, blue ice works very well. As the water color darkens, so should the bait. Cajun cricket is a good intermediate color, but in really muddy or dark water, I'd switch from BGBS to the "Money" color in Kalin's Tripple Threat 2 inch Shad.
Interesting, i need to get into fishing with Jigs.
I'd say pearl white but since I make my own and I don't like to take the time for laminates I'd say key lime bobby garlands baby shad.... I've caught a many of fish on those... But pearl white stingers or a white hair jig is my favorite all around go to bait
One color he says.........:Rofl
Blue Ice or Bluegrass = Happy, Happy, Happy
key lime with an orange head
Good question ! I have to agree with the blue grass because it works well in most situations. Other colors under certain water clarity conditions but blue grass comes thru for me in the most variety of water color and different bodies of water. FB
If I can't have my Kalin's Money Jig I would go with BGBS in pearl.
Thanks for the replies everyone.... I'm going to have to pick up some Cajun cricket... hope more comment... I fished today and caught around 15 water was really dirty caught them on the mo glow that looks like John Deere color

Yep, I'm a little biased since this is my winning color combo.
"Watermelom Wine" can be hard to find in the tackle stores.
Glow Ghost White!!!!
Cajun cricket BG has put more fish in my boat than any other jig!!
I have never caught a fish on Cajun cricket. Pearl white works best for me fishing NWR and burnt mills, I actually do not look at the name but what is in the bag
Blue thunder!
I make my own stinger but a shade in white has no comparison ,I fish 2 years in every situation with white and it works in dingy water or clear,in one year caught over 5000 on that one color alone, and if I were to pick a second color it would be a light char green. I have seen other colors do well but not in all situation.

Pearl white is my best fish catching bait, but I also catch a lot on solid black.

White & chartruese stinger is what I call my old reliable color
I found out years ago that the hot color can change from day to day. My fav color is blue ice but try different colors to see what they want next
If I had to pick just one, it would be Blue Ice or Chartreuse/Pearl.
I have done well with Cajun Cricket at NW and other border locations as well.
Garland doesn't make my favorite colors, Acid Rain and JDG, Kalin does, guess which brand I use, when I use this type lure?
I love john deere green kalin's 2" grub in the river... I might pick up some of Kalin's shad myself those are 2 pretty good colors...
I like Threadfin Shad. When I need some color, I dip the tail in Orange, Lime, or Chartreuse Spike-it. (Depending on the time of year- in my water orange is for winter, lime for summer, and Chartreuse for spring. Don't ask me why, it's just how I roll).
If you stick with smoke, white, or clear type colors you don't need to carry any flourescents, just Spike-it dye and change them as/when.
needed. In this way, you keep more tackle box space available for other shapes.
