better move that bad boy's nose up to the stop if you keep it. looks close..
I guess one out of two ain't bad! Aight, I ain't got time to help you keep cramming your foot in your mouth.
Count the spines on the dorsal fin (the hard stickees on the fin on their back). Remember 5,6,7,8. 5 or 6 is a white crappie. 7 or 8 is a black crappie.
You have two white crappie. Gewber.
also you can look at the eyes calico's have big beautiful brown eyes looks like a white to me but what do I know :biggrin

Off the lake and back in Grenada before 1030, ended up with 10 keepers and 9 throwbacks, all but 2 of the throwbacks were crowded legal hard.
Was good to see Torch and G3 on the water today, always a pleasure!!

Refer to rule 3. It's a white crappie.
thanks Handi, reckon why he aint got no lines???? :dono
Looks like a crappie to me lol
Black or white they all taste the same when golden brown. Good going.
Dorsal fins are the most accurate way of identifying Crappie species. Coloration has a lot to do with water clarity, etc...Only DNA testing is more specific and sensitive than counting dorsal fins.
Upon further review it has been determined that my so called white crappie I released this morning is in fact a SPECK. The 7th spine is broke off but ifn you count where they are coming out of his back there is no doubt he has seven spines. I will accept appologies thru PM, no need in doing it publicly even tho I was rudely and wrongly corrected publicly. :biggrin
