to the warden and biologist at Engineer Point. They said that they had been issued quite a few citations for more than 3 poles. Bet they learn to count after they pay that $400.00 fine.
Keep up the good work, guys.:highfive

Wow that is a stiff fine right there. Is it $400 for the offense or do they stripe offenders that much per pole over 3? If it was per pole, that would likely prevent it from occurring very often!
Wowwwwww that's high
That will teach em
15 fish is 15 fish...pole limits are stewpit! JMO
AMEN TO THAT Feelay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta agree about the stewpit part. But stewpit or not it's the law. He didn't say how many poles it was. That will be a very expensive math lesson.
You mean you cant carry a spare pole?
Feelay, I'm with you 100%. How many poles, hooks, or what kind of bait don't matter to me. 15 = 15. I suppose it might be different if they were shocking them, but fishing is fishing.
G, I want to officially and publicly apologize to you and everyone else if I have said anything that offended you or made you think bad of me. I know the poaching thread got out of hand, and I am here to tell you and everyone else that I am not supporting a general policy of breaking the law. I believe that there is a time and place for all manner of discussions, and I have learned that this board is not the place for political ramble. I am sorry for trying to make it be.
I was agreeing with Feelay on the pole issue, but I was not meaning to say that everyone should use however many poles he or she wants to with the law as it is. I use 5 poles (I only fish Enid), because the law tells me to do so. I have more, but I don't use them.
I respect you, and many others on this site. My apology is genuine. It was never my intention to make you think that I do not also respect the law. I do.
I obey, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
SO USED TO USING 4 ON ENID / SARDIS LOWER LAKE THAT LAST THURSDAY IT WAS UP IN THE MORNING BEFORE I THOUGHT ABOUT IT . GUESS I WAS JUST LUCKY . THROWING BACK LEGAL FISH BUT FISHING WITH 4 . A SENIOR MOMENT FOR SURE .
Everyone needs to remember the people that caused us to have to fish with three poles are the same geezers who are out there now on the pontoon boats with half a dozen people and a dozen and a half poles pulling cranks.
Most people I've seen are running 3 each. Gotta be a fool to think you ain't being watched. I know one thing for sure. If Bandit is on the stock market BUY BUY BUY. Never seen so many cranks pulled in my life this year.
There are plenty of fools at Grenada. Fishing too many poles there is common practice.
Four Game Wardens with boat at Holiday Lodge today. Think they're getting serious about enforcing the new rules. I don't like the 3 pole rule either especially when fishing alone since it makes it harder for me to pattern the fish. $400 fine should keep everyone honest. I'm with Feelay....I'll obey but I don't have to like it.
Seen em at engineers today. They was putting the small boat in as we were leaving the marina. When we were heading back to the marina they was tied off at the end of the marina pier looking at something in a big house boat
