Outlaw!
I always knew you were a trouble maker!
Ignert. The way I see it it's your property do what you want!!!
Good luck to you. I am currently in a battle with the county I live in due to ONE neighbor. So far it has cost me more then the cost of a NICE boat, but, I am hard headed and trying to out play their game.
Mini Germantown wannabe town.
Berma died a few years back, heart attack. I was working with his son-in-law at the time. Over half of the shop was at the viewing.
My son played sports with his youngest, Frog, if the name rings a bell.
ducker, give me your address, I'll have your yard looking like one of those germantown lots.
They don't drink PBRs out in Germantown Cane.
Just curious. Is this because you turned an old fridge into a worm bed or something like that?:fish
I just had some tree limbs, 11 16' trailer loads of limbs albeit, sittin at the road to be picked up for a month, they no picky uppy bc they wanted me to pay for something that has always been free! I decided I'd just have me a small lil Bon fire soon
How much are they charging?
This is why I like liveing out in the country
The old rule was all wood had to be no longer than 4 foot. Plywood couldn't be over 18" wide. Can't be on the street, must be in the yard in a neat pile. Can't cover the sidewalk. They have the big trucks to take care of that now.
But there are other rules that aren't enforced, been that way since the city was started.
Plants can't be touched while walking on sidewalk.
Limbs can't impair any vehicle while on city streets.
Utilities, meters can't be blocked in any way. Most elect. meters are on the back of the houses, can't block them with a fence.
Utilities underground, everything is under ground in Horn Lake. can't be covered with concrete. The builders installed the water and sewer lines under driveways and sidewalks. You can't double your driveway if they are there. Need to find the power lines before laying a patio and walkway.
Permit needed before any concrete is poured.
Load it up and add to my pile, it's been sitting here since April. I add to it daily.
I moved em behind my house and gonna do just that Friday evening!!
Made me a pile yesterday. But Southaven will pick it up. I hope!

My street is single lane, big trucks can't turn around on it. The fire dept. when flushing the fire plugs back down the street to get to all 3 of them. The cities trash truck has used my driveway to turn around in the past. They have broke the water line at the meter twice in doing so. Since it's broke on my side of the meter, it's my job to have it fixed.
I'd put something out down there to ruin a tire if'n it were me!
Amen. I wouldn't have it any other way. I have neither the temperament nor the patience for urban dwelling. At 130 CR 297, I do what I want to, and anybody that don't like it better be ready to kill and/or die if they intend to interfere. I got lots of bullets, and I am not recoil sensitive.
Ducker put some fish guts in the pile next time.Give them something to complain about. That's how you get rid of neighbors.
Move out of HORNLAKE......
Southaven done gone on a rampage too! I had a truck on some ramps for 2 days removing cooling lines from oil adapter and plugging all the holes with brass pipe plugs with thread sealer and they put a citation on my door. I had 4 vehicles sitting in the drive and had to put my truck up in my side yard!City must be runnin low on dough!:dono
Well time to sell and move fruther from the city. When I was 19 I started working as a carpenter. Got my share of Subdivisions and have no desire to live in one. Later I took Real Estate in College an learned about the evils of Home owner Assoc. Just another reason not to have anything to do with them. :bash
If your on your own property, ordinance or not, it will not stand up in court. I would not pay it and froget it.
While working nights in the early months of 2001 and living in Horn Lake, I backed my old truck into the driveway one morning. I got a citation for have a junker. It was wrecked on the way home some 6 months earlier. I never fixed it, it passed inspection, never went to court about it, I was driving it daily.
The neighbor got a citation for my blackberries growing on her backyard fence.
Sounds like the main industry in Hornlake is writing citations. I would think that all of you that are getting these when they really aren't needed should all get together and go to a council meeting after you have gotten this on the agenda. Then address the fact that you are being haressed. :cheers2
The rules help some. Some yards would look like junkyards, trash dumps and recycle centers.
Can't park on the grass. One yard down the street from one of my houses is all concrete. Some 9 to 11 cars are parked there daily.
Out building/s can take up a percentage of your backyard in Horn lake. I have 4 in my daughter's backyard with 2 square foot to spare. Kid's playhouse counts.
Southaven wants to limit you to one out building.
While painting one house I took the numbers down and gave them a fresh coat in the backyard with another color. When I got back to the front of the house I had a citation for no number. I painted the area and laid the numbers on their sides until the day before court date. Never went to court about it.
How many people have a 4 foot chain link fence for their backyard if any and put up one of those blow up swimming pools? That shouldn't be allowed anywhere.
Man am I lucky to live in the country don't have to worry bout no neighbor or no citations
I trimmed all the trees on dads six acres and cut all the fire wood out of it. Put the rest on the road. Had about half what you have drew. They picked it up without any problems.
My brother in law laid a double drive and built it around the water meter. The city gave him a permit and said that he could build the concrete around the meter.
I have never had issues yet being in the city. But one day I want out. I wasn't raised in a subdivision.
