Wish I had looked some more.
We looked at a used rv and brought it home. Now the fan on the ac won't come on. The breaker is good, is there a fuse in the ac cabinet on the ceiling? Can't hear the compressor trying to kick in either. We never tried the micro wave. It won't come on. I pulled it and checked the fuse, it's good.
I guess the previous owner pulled the plug on the water heater, it's not there. What size is it, if anyone has replaced theirs? I tried a 1/2" pipe but it slid into the tank. 3/4" pipe is to big.

Did you test the output at the breaker? Its possible that the breaker panel has a problem since the microwave doesn't work either.

That plug in the water heater is, usually, also a sacrificial anode. RV place will have one. Look around the heater. The anode is around 12 inches long. Good luck.

I was wanting to haul it to spring creek in AR this weekend. But if it's not working right might as well have the tent and a fan.

Sounds like you just gave someone some money and hooked up to a trailer and took off. lets start by making a list of things that do work

Spring creek or spring river

They call it a river, but it's a creek to me. Can't get a boat on it.

Spring River is a worthy opponent CB. You can put a boat in but you better have jet drive on it or you will be turned upside down with all of your PBRs floating down the river.

As many coolers that I've seen dumped there, not the first floater coming my way. They sink.
I have a few new Shakespeare Crappie Hunters I want to try out on those stinky fish.

Thermo switch is bad on the micro wave. I can get 100 for .15 each, but 1 is $9.00. What a mark up in price.

Are you hooked up to 120 power?

Pull inside cover on A/C. Take a meter and check power to control switch. Check temp control also. Check all the wiring connections under the hood.

First I was trying to get things to work on a 100 foot 16/3 extension cord. No way. Now it is about 30 foot from an outlet with a 110 recpt. adpt. on the 30 amp 10/3 cord. I think it's a 15 amp breaker on the outlet.

Probably let the smoke out of the microwave and a/c considering the voltage drop you would experience on a 100' 16 gage cord. Gewber.

This old house has 10 amp breakers on everything 110. That is what the trailer was plugged into with the 100 16/3 cord. May have got 6 amp to trailer. The apartment in the back yard has 20 amp gfi breaker for the outside outlet. I have a 220 40 amp outside outlet, breaking it down to 110 would give me 20 amps. I can get within 20 feet of it.

Put ya in a 30 amp breaker with a junction box and the correct outlet....gewber:D

Most outlets have a 10, 15 and some times a 20 amp breaker. Standard outlets are rated for 15 amps and depending on where you buy them can be less than I dollar. I checked on a 30 amp outlet a few years ago, it was $12.

My son said the camper he borrowed had to be perfectly level for the ac to work.

My plumber son-in-law came by today. We worked on the rusted up fitting on the water heater. Got the new plug in there. Started water into the camper and the PnT valve is leaking bad. Another trip to the store, thought to get a new thermo coupler just in case. While he was putting the new valve in the heater I put a bottle of gas on the rack. Fired the burner up, set it on low and waited for it to shut off. Nice warm water, almost hot. Turned it up to medium, it shut off after a while too. Good hot water now. Turned the valve off and put the cover back on. The little catch on the door isn't that good. I'll replace it with something I have here.
Pulled the ceiling cover off of the ac. Pulled the connection cover off and a wire nut fell out. White wires had separated. fixed it and turned it on. covered it up and stayed outside for a while. It felt good inside after 30 minutes. 1 hour later with fan speed on medium and coldest setting it was 68 degrees.
Pulled the light fixture over the sink down, checked wires, no elect. Pulled all the fuses, all good. Wires run into the wall where the frig is, ain't touching it, it works. Got a 110 fixture installed later today, plugs in with micro wave.
His brother came by and put a meter on the micro wave. It's fried, maybe from low amps. He took it with him to work on in his spare time. I took the measurements and headed to 5 stores. Couldn't find one that size. I'll look some more tomorrow.

Dirt Dobbers usually have built on the fan causing the A/C problem. Make sure the fans will turn.

Ac is working fine.
The under cover looks like a silver tarp. It was loose at rear corner below water heater. I put a few layers of duct tape on the edge and used some screws to keep it up.
I opened the door yesterday morning to find a heavy gas smell. I mixed a heavy soap water mixture and sprayed the flare fitting at the water heater first. A bugger to get a wrench on but got it tight. Checked all fittings under the trailer, all fine. Left doors open with fan blowing in one for about 2 hours. Left it closed up for rest of the day. No smell this morning.
The previous owner must of had a puppy. Electric brake wires were pretty much gone. Replaced it all while the doors were open.
Checked a few more stores for a microwave the same size as this one. All so far are to large or small for the trim, metal frame on cabinet. Son-in-law said to get a smaller one and fill in the space with wood. Checked at rv store for a new trim piece. They are proud of that little piece of metal.
Got my tote-along potty tank today from rvplus.com, saved about $120. from what the rv store wanted.
Going to replace the mattress with a memory foam one today.

Check your water heater and find the switch to turn on the electricity...no use burning up propane heating water at the campground when the electricity is included.

Are you sure??? Look for a little switch down by the plug you replaced. Speaking of the plug, did you put a new anode in or just a plug?

anode plug, yep $20. at southavenrv.
The old plug must have been out for a while. I thought it maybe 5/8th thread. But looking at southavenrv, it had to be 3/4". I checked at 3 auto part stores for a set of pipe tap loaner tools, nope just bolts. We chased the threads with a 3/4" pipe nipple and wire brush used for cleaning copper fitting for soldering. So I wouldn't have to buy the 3/4 pipe tap at $27. That took a while but it saved me that money. And changing the pressure valve, we should have seen some wires running to the water heater. Only wires I've seen in that area are for the rear trailer lights and the bedside table, not listed on the breaker panel either.

Yep, new phone for christmas and I can't send pictures with it.

It did great this weekend, well sunday through today. A/C was 68 during the day, had to turn it up at night. Our 8 month old grand daughter would dive into the new memory foam mattress and asleep in minutes for an afternoon nap. Fishing wasn't bad, we don't eat them. The plumber son-in-law will have all the fish tomorrow.
We stayed at Riverside campground, at the 5 mile take out. Most of the views weren't worth looking at, but a few were.
We stopped at the one and only rest area on hwy 63, came back to the rig and had a flat on the trailer. I did notice a piece of metal in the thread when I rolled it. The parking lot is paved the old way of paying. Tar with crushed stone. I could of used a cold shower then.

The gas valve on the water heater wouldn't light while camping. I tried it again when we got home, still won't light. I looked online and local dealers for a new gas valve and an electric element kit. $350 to $400 with sales tax or shipping added.
Does anyone have a tankless heater in their camper? Could one be installed in the same space as this 6 gallon heater?
We don't have plans to camp anywhere there isn't 110v power.

We have specific units available that are certified to be installed in Mobile and Modular Homes. These units include both our Luxury series and Value series units. Unfortunately, our tankless water heaters cannot be used in houseboats or RVs.
