Lot of good rod holders. Get the ones you can afford. Don't try to go cheap. It don't work. I speak from experience! I cant wait to here how crankin at night goes. Might be the deal. Good luck!
Just lookin for a recommended brand used by most. Pros and cons. Crankin at night may work. I know weve caught plenty of bass at night on cranks
I've tried pulling a couple of times t night with little or no success. Driftmasters or Hi-Tek are the 2 best rod holders for the money. If money is no object Folbes are the best out there for pulling off the side of your boat.Advantage Rod Holder | Fishing Rod Holders | Folbe
Thanks creek slick. Ill look into them! And prolly wont try cranks at night now haha
Hi-Teks
Contact Dennis ( aka Midsouthman) and talk to him about the Cumberland 360, it's the rod holder I use and it is bad to the bone, I recommended them to Dennis and he says he likes them, I think he is even pro staffed by them. Send Midsouthman a pm and see what he has to say. Dennis is a super nice guy and will assist you in any way he can.
If your on a budget and can't afford those high dollar ones. I can show you how to build inexpensive ones from scrap 4'' PVC pipe that work great.
If I can help out anyway, let me know. I do pro staff for Cumberland and they make a great product. Very user friendly design needing no tools to adjust them!
ide like some sort of way to hold 4 rods thats removable or 2 on one side 2 on the other if i decide to pull cranks. My problem is my crappie boat is also my duck boat. so Im goig to have to remove alot of my gadgets come duck season......unless the crappie are biting that is
The cumberland a remove in about 10 seconds with two thumb star bolts. Again no tools needed, and they are a cinch to put back on as well.
x2 on the Cumberland 360's
ill look into those for sure! thanks for the info!
The best thing is to put your hands on one. There are enough guys out here that will show you how they mount them. I use Tite-Loc and like how the pole sets in the holder while pullin cranks. Fished with a buddy this weekend and he has hi-tek and the worked fine. Like mentioned earlier, dont go cheap. Buy them once
Cumberland 360 is the way to go. I love mine. So easy to set up and take down and like MidSouth Man mentioned, no tools needed. Great product!!!!!!!!!!!
Matter of fact, I have one here at the house, brand new, Never installed. If you would like to come get it and use it before you buy it, then call me. 1-501-231-3374. I can't make a better offer than that.... Lol.
I bought a set of Cumberland from Dennis , haven't got to use them yet but very user friendly and thumb nuts on everything , used Tite Loc and Hi Tec this set up is much easier to adjust than either of those, can't go wrong on this one and the price is better as well!Attachment 128958
Dennis you the man. I looking to get me a set soon
