Looks good Mr. Jim
Whats everyone else going to eat.:confused:
Gooks good Mr. Jim, been thinking about getting one of those.
I've been using an electric smoker for a few years now, mine is the type with a door on the front like a mini-fridge. I will never go back to a charcoal smoker, you can throw something in that electric, set the time and temp, put a water pan and some wood chips in it and come back a few hours later and it is time to eat - and the cleanup is almost nothing :):)
Lookin good jim
Mmmmmm
Them look goodddddddddd!!!!
Jim,
Put a few crappie filets in a pan and smoke them on 225 for about 30 minutes, then take em out and mix them up with some sour cream, cream cheese and a little Tony's or Garlic salt. That makes an awesome smoked fish dip and you can whip it up fast while you're cooking something else that takes longer to cook.
Looking good Mr. Jim.
I have a few downed trees here, hickory, oak and cherry. Looking for some apple to mix with the cherry.
like the ease of electricity also but have found that the wife likes to use her deck when I want to smoke something. Don't like using long extension cords. So I took the charcoal pan out and added an old fish cooker in its place. instead of using the supplied temperature gauge I installed another one to the top of the smoker to get a better reading on temperature. When I get the temperature right to what I am cooking I walk away and work on another project. and to finish I soak my chips add them to the dry pan. As for the water pan I use a variety of whatever is in the cabinet...LOL * oh yes and now I am sure to let her know what is missing from the cabinet or ice box
Looking Good there, I enjoy my electric smoker very much!
