guys she done great through the night. so for no weakness any where. they had her eating ice and drinking water late last night. they are suppose to start giving her jello and soft food today and if that goes good then next is solid food. they said if she gets to eating solid food the will move her to a regular room tomorrow or Monday. they even said if she keeps going like this she may get to go by the end of the week. she will have to heal before they can start treatments. so we're not out of the woods but headed that way right now. thanks for the prayers and keep sending them please. ill try to keep updates as much as I can.

ok fellas she gets to go home tomorrow. the dr came in and asked her when she thought she would be ready to go. she smiled and said I think tomorrow or Wensday. ( cant spell right now) he looked at her for a minute then said how about tomorrow she started crying. made me cry I know sappy sp for a grown man to cry but it is my mom. so tomorrow around noon we will be headed back to the Kiamichi mountains for a couple weeks. we are in the process of getting her treatments at Oklahoma onocolgy. I have to sign papers for them to get started on the insurance claims about the chemo and radition. so all prayer are still appreciated because we still have a long road ahead.
-
Kenny, that is great news. Hope all continues to go good for your mom and for you. We will keep praying for you both.

Prayer sent for you and mom Kenny.....that is one tough road to go down......and NEVER feel bad about crying brother......we all do it

Kenny, prayers go out to your mother and family. I know how the road is, I lost my dad on May 11th to lung cancer and I know the road is very bumpy at times, but hang there and God will provide you with all the answers. As for crying don't feel bad about that we all do it when it comes to loved ones. I too shed some tears over my father, but the hardest time for me was when I decided to take some time to get away on the lake the day after he passed. It was then that it hit me the hardest that my long time fishing buddy would not be sharing the boat with me any more.

Prayers continue Kenny and will not only be for Mom but the family as well......Ranger

thanks guys. we get the results Friday. we will have to take her back to Tulsa for the post op appointment then. hopefully everything goes good. jigging trust me you were not alone you just didn't know it. we have dealt with cancer on this side of the family a bunch. it's just harder when it's your mom. she has made it longer then the rest of her family by several years. none of the men have made it to 60 and her mom my grannie was 64 when she died of cancer. my mom just turned 70 in April. we just keep praying that it all comes out good even if it means taking treatments.
-
Thanks for the update KD. Will keep you and yours on my prayer list!

God bless your Mom and prayers sent!

Praying for your mother and your family. God supplies peace that surpasses all understand!

ok we finally got the results. it is cancer. it is a glioblastoma which is the worst of brain cancer. it can never be completely removed or killed by treatments. it is manageable to a degree. she is going to receive radiation and a type of chemo treatments. the treatments are not suppose to make her very sick just weak. they told us that with out treatments the patient usually only survives about 4 to 5 months. but with treatment they can survive anywhere from a few months to several years. the only problem with my mom is she has 2 tumors so they have to do a general radiation instead of a pin point. but if everything keeps going as good as it has she can live a pretty normal life for awhile. they have started some theropy on her speech and my wife has all ready been doing some physical thinks to a good friend for telling us what to work on first. I want to think everyone for the prayers and please don't stop now. miracles have happened and i'm still praying for this to go completely away. I would love to see the dr's face when there is no more cancer in my mom and she walks in and out of their office by her self.
