Did a quick check and YEP, they sure are. Search for body in reservoir underway | Local News - WAPT Home
not good at all
Hate to hear that.
That's terrible. Another reason to wear a life jacket while underway.
Anyone know who it is? WB has been very quiet since the MCC Championship
Body recovered, not releasing details at this time.. In the Horseshoe area..

The man that lost his life was in his early 40's and a local fisherman. news is reporting he hit a stump and a channel marker. The driver of the boat had minor injuries. Bad deal that happens way to often on Barnett.
heard his last name was Pucket from Florence area . They found him . prayers sent .
It's a bad deal for sure. From what I'm hearing they hit a stump close to the river channel causing the boat to veer into the channel marker. He was the passenger witch is where the damage is on the boat. In the horseshoe area there is a big turn in the river channel so most of the fishermen take the short cut don't know if they were doing this or not. One thing bout the B nett is there is more than enough stumps!! I say run the channel & slow down outside the channel. You never know. Wear PFD!!!
His name was Reggie Pucket, he was rep. for Hoyt bows, he and a friend were fishing, the friend survived from what i am told , but was knocked out from the inpact, Reggie was a great guy, and will be missed by many
Last time I was over that way I saw a big log sticking up about 20' out in the channel not far from a channel marker. It had been washed in by higher water earlier this year. I wonder if that is where it happened? Prayers to the family.
Looks like they need to move it or at least mark it
This is just terrible to hear. I have had a close call or 2 on Barnett as well. Bottom line is that it is a dangerous lake because of all the stump field and drift wood that comes from the river. But I love it.
It is dangerous, I have had several close calls on the Rez . 2 or 3 people get killed almost every year there. BRM you did right by taking the front seats down, many people don't and you can't see squat with them up. Things are bad enough on the lake but when you go up river things get tight, and people still are hauling a$$. Not much room for mistakes. Prayers to the families involved in this tragedy.
